I've not seen enough people talking about the parallels between pirates smp and bannerfall smp, especially with 2 certain pairs of complicated siblings

No but seriously this has been in my head for at least a week now these parallels are crazy

Similarities:

older sibling who performs really well, is the role model and perfect representitive, beloved

younger sibling who is desperately trying to be seen and not be in their older sibling's shadow

younger sibling leaves home and ends up in a seperate / rivaling group

they meet again, and while hesitant, they slowly bond again

the younger sibling is constantly trying to prove to everybody that they are someone

the older sibling is constantly trying to prove to their younger sibling that they are still the same older sibling from when they were young

may be spoilers for pirates henceforth

This meanssss that I think that there will be one of two outcomes. Eitherrrr:

Katie in some way gives up her life for Nom at the last minute, therefore completing the parallel

Or Nom in some way gives up his life for Katie and breaks the parallel, showing us an alternative yet equally tragic ending

Either one proves that powcreations will never not make doomed siblings 💔 they're doomed either way, and that's the beautiful heartbreaking thing about it
