    What fresh hell is this?

    The cold wakes her up. The cold actually wakes her up. 

    Jesus, it's only October. She'll be an icicle before Peter gets back. Living without the wolf, taking care of his den in his absence, hasn't really been all that difficult so far. She doesn't clean much. She only migrates from the bedroom, to the couch, to the kitchen, to the bathroom. She doesn't cook, but Sophia continues to bring her food. And pearls of wisdom about how she'll 'keep her man happy and have a happy marriage'. It doesn't seem to matter how many times she tells the older Italian woman that she and Peter are not dating. They are not together. They are not getting married. And there aren't going to be any grandchildren. She isn't about to waddle around for nine months for anybody; let alone Peter Evans Hale. All that seems to do is get her the 'Living in Sin' speech and oh God, fine, fine, he's the fucking boyfriend, just don't yank me into your Women's Bible Study group again. Woman's trying to make her a necklace. . . 

    But this cold business. 

    She forgot all about winter and just what that would be like without her cranky, growly heater. 

    The two additional duvets she pulls from the linen closet are a poor substitute. But they kinda smell like her monster, so that's kind of nice. . .

so now i'm kinda thinking of that one AU prompt, where character A gets powers that they don't know how to control. imagine if Braeden acquired pyrokinesis. that she didn't know how to control at onset. and she's dating with one of the Hales (Draeden, Breter, you know the ones.)
