This is an illustration I did for a historic fantasy short story I wrote about the siege of Fort Pitt. The story is called "Old Fenrir" and is about a young British soldier coming face to face with a hellish Shawnee deity who takes the form of a giant grey wolf. The British colonist know the beast as Old Fenrir, and fear him for his savagery towards their beloved Fort Pitt and it's soldiers. I've been listening to an audio book of Henry Hope Hodgson's dark fantasy love story the Night Land and I have fallen in love with the story, characters and world. Here are a couple of sketches inspired by characters from the book.
