I am watching Heated Rivalry ep5 for the fuckillionth time. May I say, Hudson and Connor, your portrayals of Shane and Ilya move me beyond words. Two very different characters, both performances just 💋 . I dont think I'll ever get fed up watching.
So! about RobbyxLangdon this season, spoilers for up to 2x07, maybe 2x13
Turns out I am too sensitive for this. It's hard to watch Langdon being bullied by Robby and being so insecure and so shaken around him.
I kind of, as I have before, blame the storytelling. On any other show Langdon would not try to apologize to everybody on his first day, probably especially not to Robby after his first few dismissals. But as it is, he has no time, added to that Robby will leave after the shift is over. So his urgency does not help.
And Robby? He looks at him like a cornered, wounded animal about to bite. And boy does he bite. I try to remember that this is fiction and that a good story takes you through the lows before it gets to the highs, but this is hard to watch. I wonder if Langodon knew. If that was one of the reasons he tried to taper off by himself. If he knew the price of disappointing Robby and not being his favorite anymore.
I hope Jack comes to the rescue and knocks some sense into him. 2x13 is supposedly going to have a breakdown of some sort for Robby so I hope it comes to that. I understand Robby has his own issues and that it is really not that much about Langdon but damn. Those hurt blue eyes. s1 I wanted Langdon to give me a hug, s2 I want to give him a hug.
I feel like I am too experienced to be that sad about how this is developing. This is not my first time around the block. Jesus. I really just needed to write this off my chest.
These images of my sweet Joseph back in his element, teaching young people about his greatest love, acting, will forever warm my heart. Not hearing from him on social media since the beginning of the year worried me. Especially since it seemed like he was dealing with some mental health struggles. But now, my man is Happy, healthy, and looking DAMN fine with those glasses 🤭
