ACTION COMICS #392 "The Legionnaires Who Never Were!" (114o)

Plot Summary:

Imra and Jeckie go to apprehend a criminal on an asteroid, get zapped, and wake up to find that their teammates don't remember them ever existing. They also aren't in the computer or the trophy room, and they've lost their powers. Instead, they've been replaced by Prince Projectur and Saturn Lad.

Imra and Projectra escape the detention sphere using their flight rings. Projectra goes to Val and tries to make him remember, but also uses knock-out lip balm she got from the lab on him, plus a small device. Projectra figures out that her and Imra being near each other is what took out their powers. She runs into Prince Projectur and makes an illusion that attacks herself, and he panics and reveals that it's Brainy. Apparently it was a test.

The archive computer said that Projectra was near a breaking point and there is "a 98% probability that she will break down in a time of crisis and jeopardize the other members' lives!" but the computer is still being tested, so they had to put Projectra through a grueling ordeal to see if it was correct. Imra was in on it. The computer was wrong.

Plot Summary:

Imra gets recognized by her old classmate, so she has to not send telepathic messages. She lets Brainy know discreetly.

Meanwhile, the boy's earn Masrin's trust in a meeting by explaining the element changing ray guns, which are actually dummies and all the work comes from Jan.

Cham finds out that Chavak's girlfriend, Yroa, likes some other rebel guy. Brainy finds out the chemical composition of the chemical humanoids. The camp is ambushed and Jan has to do everything while making it look like the rebels are doing it.

Masrin wants to push forward to the capital, but Jan is super tired. Imra contacts Brainy to let the rebels into the presidential palace, decking her classmate. They take the palace and pretend to distribute the wealth to the people. Jan changes the wealth into lead and stones and the people rebel against Masrin for wanting to keep Peralla's treasure for himself.

Plot Summary:

President Peralla of Lahum is an imperialist who took over the government of his world

Diol Masrin is the rebel leader secretly allied with the Dark Circle

The U.P. asks the Legion to step in as a private organization to overthrow Peralla without Masrin taking power. Cham leads a mission to infiltrate a gunrunning spaceship. Cham shifts into the leader and the others wear jumpsuits, then they trap and replace the next up guy, Chavak. Except for Imra, who is headed for Huevas, the others are ambushed by Peralla's chemical beings. Jan defeats them without blowing their cover.

Cham listens in on a meeting between Masrin and who he thinks is a Dark Circle rep but is just Gim. Imra gets to Huevas and gets an internship with a scientist who works for the president and gets recognized by his assistant.

Plot Summary:

Klim the android criminal's head was separated from his body for a while but now they're reuniting to get revenge. Four criminals on Voran-4 created Klim to commit crimes they couldn't because of their disabilities.

Rokk, Vi, and Condo decide to take care of Klim's escape. It turns out Klim was malfunctioning when he saw who defeated him last time and it was a composite of Rokk and Chem. Vi sneakily beats Klim while the boys distract him.

Prison asteroid Voran-4 is totally unguarded because it only holds disabled villains who "permanently disabled themselves while committing crimes"

Plot Summary:

Wayland Bannan, head of the Earth's Bureau of Revenue and Taxation, shows up and demands that they Legion pay taxes on the gift of the warp transport machine being donated to them because they have 26 members, and all private clubs with more than 25 active members must pay full taxes.

Brin tries to quit, but Condo tries too, then Chuck and Luornu. Val refuses to accept any of their resignations. They try to draw lots, but a chemical fire prevents them, then several of them try to take credit for it, and Val decides whoever hands in their resignation first will resign. Brainy then points out that they should use his archive computer to figure out who to drop based on who has performed the fewest feats. Brainy did the fewest feats so is about to resign, but they argue that just because he's not flashy doesn't mean he's not useful. Kara and Brainy are super dramatic for no reason, but they conclude Kara can't leave because then Comet and Streaky leave the LSP.

Clark succeeds in leaving the Legion, though he keeps his reasoning a secret. (It's because his powers are the same as Mon's, and even though Kara's are too he wants her to stay because she likes Brainy)

ACTION COMICS #386 "Zap Goes the Legion!" (110o)

Plot Summary:

"Released ex-con Uli Algor has a defense for every super-power the Legion has, but none for a good old-fashioned uppercut." (comics.org)

Garth, Imra, Rokk, and Lydda were on a double date when Uli shows up and challenges them to a fight. Uli's device turns all their powers against them as they try to stop her from hurting bystanders. They are all injured, but Lydda tells Val and Brainy what happened.

Brainy, Val, Jo, and Tinya prepare for Uli's challenge and they go to fight on the asteroid Talus, but Uli escapes with a "robotomy."

Uli goes to her hideout in nuclear-devastated Midway City, followed by Tinya, who is defeated when Uli sees her. Jo and Brainy arrive and Jo defeats Uli by just walking up and punching her without using any of his powers.

Brainy apparently made a battery bed for an emergency for Garth and the doctor goes "excellent fore-thought!" but it's like...trauma?

ACTION COMICS #385 "The Fallen Starboy" (109o)

Plot Summary:

The Legion gets a distress call from Xanthu, so Thom, Imra, and Gim go. They must deal with a gang that steals valuable shipments and always seems to know the police's shipment plans.

They set a trap for the crooks, who seemed prepared for Thom and Gim's fight but didn't succeed in stealing the loot. Thom concludes they must be Naltorians.

The crooks are there for Thom specifically because he's the brother of Kenz Nuhor, the guy Thom killed in self-defense.

Thom, Gim, and Imra go to Thom's house to plan. They try another trap, but instead Thom is captured via teleport ray. Yark is here to kill Thom with the same kind of ray-gun Thom used to kill Kenz. Yark thinks Thom's power won't work because nothing weighs anything, but his power is inducing mass (squeezing the molecules together apparently) so it does work...hmmmm

He defeats Yark but the goons are going to get him until Imra and Gim show up and save him.
