SUPERBOY AND THE LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES #211 "The Ultimate Revenge/The Legion's Lost Home" (138o)

Plot Summary:

Roxxas escapes Takron-Galtos and hides in an asteroid haven for criminals, which instantly gets raided by the Legion. Jan spies Roxxas escaping but hesitates and he escapes. He, Thom, Condo, and Ayla are now on vacation, but Jan uses his vacay to hunt Roxxas. Thom, Condo, Ayla, Clark, and Dirk follow him to Trom, where Jan is holding a gun to Roxxas' head. Jan refuses to not kill Roxxas so Condo tricks Jan into thinking he killed Roxxas, after which he regrets it and Condo reveals the trick. Turns out Roxxas wanted to die because he's being haunted by the ghosts.

The Legionnaires have their old clubhouse replaced with a new one. It goes to the junkyard, and an imposter Rokk and Tasmia go to retrieve a weapon that is apparently still in the arsenal, but it was really to retrieve a pyram jewel they stashed there years ago. Stone Boy, Chloropyll Kid, and Fire Lad in new costumes stop them and pick up the old clubhouse out of the trash to live in, having a legal deed from the Legion.

SUPERBOY AND THE LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES #206 "The Legionnaires Who Haunted Superboy"/"Welcome Home, Daughter...Now Die!" (133o)

Plot Summary:

Clark runs into Ferro Lad and Lyle in Smallville. They claim they want Clark to test them to make sure they're still up to snuff since they're out of shape since dying. They help Clark take down a robot and pass his test. But when they arrive back in the future, they promptly explode because they were actually clones that the Legion created who can only live 48 hours.

Projectra goes home to check on Orando but she reaches it sooner than expected and is taken captive by the royal guards because her parents have been overthrown. The new king throws her to a monster, but her powers fail her and Val saves her and slaps her. It turns out she was projecting an illusion of Orando and tricked herself. The monster was real though and she saves Val from it.

SUPERBOY AND THE LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES #198 "The Fatal Five Who Twisted Time" (126o)

Plot Summary:

Clark and Lana are on a date at a house of horrors, but Clark can't get his mind off the UFO that's been x-raying Smallville the past few days. After discreetly saving Lana from an escaped gorilla, Clark notices a fortune teller is really the Emerald Empress and fakes stomach cramps to get away and change.

The Empress and Persuader attack him, claiming the "Time-Sorter has already sealed your doom!" They defeat Clark by tricking him into holding Persuader's axe, and Persuader can control the axe even when it's not in his hands and it compels Clark to swing it at himself.

Brainy, Jan, Projectra, and Val arrive in a Time Bubble to help him. They are too late, but they hear from Lana what happened. They confirm that Empress, Persuader, and Mano are in the past.

Meanwhile, in the future, Mon and Gim discover that Tharok and Validus are at large again. However, the Legion clubhouse and all the Legionnaires fade out of existence after the 3/5 of the Five installed the Time-Sorter in Clark's era.

The 3/5 attack the four Legionnaires in the past, destroy the Time Bubble, and explain their evil plan. The Time-Sorter has changed history to make Clark lose to them and the Legion to not exist.

Mano shows up with Validus and Tharok, meaning the Mano in the past is an imposter-- Cham. He proposes to the other two that they guard the Time-Sorter to prevent anyone fixing time, tricking them into revealing its location. He signals Brainy and the other Legionnaires show up to fight. They break open the Superboy statue, and inside is Clark and the Time-Sorter. Val smashes the Time-Sorter and Clark wakes up and the Clubhouse returns, materializing the Legion Jail right around Tharok and Mano. Validus escapes, however.

Notes:

"Champions" was possibly inspired by this issue with the Fatal Five disguised as circus performers? Also the first episode.

SUPERBOY #191 "Attack of the Sun-Scavenger" (122o)

Plot Summary:

It's Dirk's birthday and he is 11 sola-years old (~17-18), they're throwing a surprise party. Dr. Regulus crashes the surprise party and shows Dirk that they are now equal in power. They defeat Dr. Regulus, whose dying wish is to be thrown into the Arion Star.

Dirk goes alone to fulfill the wish, but it recharges Dr. Regulus' powers because the Arion Star is the source of his power.

Garth and Tasmia secretly went along to help. They defeat Regulus together and go home.
