Have you guys noticed that trend in shortform content lately where people will say something in the video and then put something else in the subtitles for comedic effect? Yeah?

Fuck that.

I have an audio processing disorder and I need subtitles for accessibility reasons, so do hard of hearing and deaf people and anyone else who needs them.

They’re supposed to be an accurate representation of what’s being said in the video.

Say it with me folks.

Disabled people deserve the same experience of content as everyone else.

Okay so i need to do AODA (accessibility for ontarians with disabilities act) training for my job and…. Its not accessible…. Like it has open captions something that i need for my audio processing issues, but the narrator has a lisp and I need clear voices AND captioning. And I'm sure they have a narrator with a speech impediment because it’s about disability rights and accommodations but… its not accessible to me. And it wouldn’t be accessible to someone with auditory processing issues AND dyslexia. It's just…. I feel like if someone took the training they wouldn’t have made it inaccessible to some of the most common learning disabilities.
