Seeleplex

Seeleplex: A Seelegenic system that has at least one sidesystem that has the same soul splitting mechanics as the main system. Synonyms: Soulplex, Animaplex.

we've seen a few plural blog use I&/me&/you& and we we're wondering if you knew what that means? we've tried searching but & seems to not be a searchable term so we can't really find anything

A way to say “you” while acknowledging the other people in a system/acknowledging the other person is apart of a system. The & can also be combined with other pronouns like they&, I&, me&, he&, she&, it&, etc!

How many alters do you guys have in total?

According to our PK, we have 177 system members. We don’t use the term alter/alters because the history and meaning of the term takes personalisation and individuality from system members; insinuating that those members are nothing more than ‘part’ of a whole person. It’s okay if other people want to use it or reclaim it for themselves though, we just ask it not be used for us.

Multiplex

Multiplex: A system with a) ten+ subsystems and at least one sidesystem, b) a system with ten+ sidesystems and at least one subsystem, or c) all of the above (ten+ subsystems and ten+ sideystems).

⚠️ Some of the colours are a bit harsh on the eyes.

We might go back and try to adjust some of the blues so the blue stars don’t blend in as much, but this is the flag we have for it thus far.

If you dont mind me asking, what's a subsystem vs a side system? And how do layered systems work/operate?

A subsystem is a system inside of a system. Think a group of members being apart of their own system inside of the another system (subsystems inside of subsystems are called nested subsystems /fyi). The way that this works differs from system to system.

A sidesystem is a system that’s “to the side” of another system, usually the main/biggest system, but doesn’t have to be. The members are separate/there’s no overlap in members like you would see in a subsystem (where at least one member is also apart of the system their subsystem is in). All the members of a sidesystem are separate to the system they are “to the side” of. Basically, it’s like having multiple systems in one body, moreso than if it was just a system with many subsystems, because they are so separate. For some, they might be even more separate — with a sidesystem being on a different layer than another system (this isn’t what everyone experiences though).
