They're endgame fr
They always looked guilty when they were together. He could see on their faces when they would cuddle while he was cooking. He didn't understand why, it was simple cuddling. Couples do it all the time, so why did they always have that guilty look on their faces? A guilty look matched with whispered apologies when they think he's asleep. Did they think they upset him?
He didn't understand why they would think that. Was it because he kept pulling away from them? He was never big on physical affection, it wasn't something he enjoyed. Maybe they would stop looking so guilty if he simply cuddled with them a bit more. It might help them realize he isn't mad at them, he could also find a way to tell them that he doesn't like physical affection. A way that would let them know he isn't mad at them and never was. He was hoping it would get rid of their guilty looks.

Cuddling with them didn't help. It only made them look even more guilty. He was confused, at a loss as to what he could even do. So he stood at the counter, cutting up onions. Maybe they would tell him over some food. They mentioned they wanted tacos sometime this week so he was making it. It would show them that he listened to them and might get them to tell him why they always seem guilty. Those looks kept eating at him, it was making him worried.
Maybe they didn't think he was mad at them, maybe it was something more.

It was silent, the only noise came from the TV and metal meeting metal as he put the taco meat on the wrap. They sat at the table, he could feel them staring. He knew that they both had a guilty look on their faces. “Would you guys like anything on your tacos?” He kept his voice quiet, their constant guilty looks were making him crazy. His plan was to try and pry over dinner but it would only ruin the night if it ended up in an argument. It was tiring as well, he was just about to give up. He might as well give up. “No.” They spoke at the same time. He only hummed, walking over to the table to set their plates down in front of them.
He only walked back to the counter to prepare his own food. “I'm not mad at either of you.” He walked back to the table, sitting down across from them. He likes seeing them during mealtimes, he liked seeing them enjoy their food. It was like seeing them realize how much he truly loves them. “We know.” One spoke, taco in hand as he only received a look of confusion.
“Then why do you both always look so guilty Takashi?” The guilty looks were getting on his nerves. Especially since those looks reappeared, he wanted to slap them so the looks would be gone. “It's hard to explain Adam.” Takashi stayed silent as the man next to him spoke. He only frowned, his eyes focused on his food. He only stood up, he didn't feel hungry anymore. He didn't understand why his hunger disappeared but he did and he just wanted to go to bed.
“Where are you going?” He only picked up his plate as he walked to the trash and dumped his food into it. “To bed Matthew.” He didn't mean for his words to come off as cold but he was irritated. He wanted answers and they wouldn't even bother to give one. He didn't care if it was something stupid like they forgot his birthday or something along those lines. He just wanted the looks to go away, he wanted them to go back to normal.
He was just tired, tired of the looks.

He only laid in bed on his side. His eyes focused on the wall in front of him, the lower half of his face covered by the blanket. He could hear movement in the other room. He couldn't fall asleep. Why didn't he just stay quiet? Why did he have to ruin their night by getting upset? The main question on his mind though, he doubts he'll ever get an answer for. Why won't they just tell him why they look so guilty when they're together? Did they fall out of love with him?
That thought made his heart ache, he only gripped the sheets tightly. He shouldn't go down that rabbit hole, it would do more damage than good. He was thankful that the door to the bedroom opened, it helped break his train of thought. He could hear a set of footsteps walk close to the bed before feeling someone sit down close to his legs. “Adam? We know you aren't asleep.” He could feel the mattress dip slightly behind him as Takashi had a hand resting near his lower back. The man was hovering over him, he didn't get why. He wanted them to leave him alone for the night unless they decided to tell him why they kept giving him guilty looks. “What do you want?” His voice was slightly muffled by the blanket.
He heard another set of footsteps walk closer before Matthew was in his line of sight. A careful hand moved the blanket away from the lower half of his face. “Can we talk?” He only moved his eyes to the wall behind Matthews head. He didn't feel like talking at the moment, he wanted to be left alone. He was sick and tired of their guilty looks, he wanted to be far away from them until those looks stopped appearing. “I'm tired, can it wait until tomorrow?” He could feel Matthews hand near his face, fingers playing with the hair that was always styled in front of his face.
“No.” Takashi’s voice was soft, it made his heart swell slightly. “We have to tell you, we realized we're being pretty shitty for not telling you.” Matthew’s voice was just as soft. His heart only swelled up even more. He only hummed at their words, they weren't being shitty, just really irritating.
“Just say it please, I want to go to bed.” He was tired, he truly was. He was hoping their explanation was short and simple. “Adam, I love you, I love you more than words can describe but I also love Matt.” Takashi spoke slowly, like he didn't know how to put his thoughts into words. But he didn't care, they were just wasting his time. “If you two are just going to waste my time then I don't want to talk.” He pushed Matthew and Takashi away from him. He was tired, he wanted an explanation but it was clear he wasn't going to get one, at least not tonight.
“Adam, we're not wasting your time. We're trying to talk to you.” Takashi sounded hurt. Why is he hurt? He should be the one who is hurt, they were trying to tell him something he already knows as a flimsy excuse for their stupid guilty looks. “You're telling me something that I knew about for a while now. Just leave me alone, I don't want to talk to either of you.” He knew he wasn't being fair, he knew he was being an asshole. They didn't deserve to deal with him being a jerk just because he was upset, he was going to apologize to them both tomorrow.
“Adam please, we just want to talk.” Matthew tried to put a hand on his face, he only pulled away from the other man. “Just go away.” He was getting annoyed, he wanted to go to bed and he wanted to be alone. “Go in the other room or something, I don't want to see or talk to either of you. I just want to go to bed.” He turned his back to Matthew as he sat up a bit, moving away from him and Takashi.
“Ok.” Takashi's voice was soft, understanding. “We'll give you space, we can talk when you're ready.” He could feel as Takashi got up from the bed before hearing two sets of footsteps leaving the room. “We love you.” Matthew's voice was the last thing he heard before the door closed and he closed his eyes.

He woke up to see Matthew laying close to him. He glanced behind him at Takashi to see him lying close to him as well. He only hummed before pulling Matthew closer to himself and grabbing one of Takashi's arms and letting it rest on his waist. His actions only caused the two to move closer. He liked this, he liked being close to them. He hummed as his hands moved to play with Matthew's hair.
He glanced at the alarm clock. It was early, he should go back to bed. Yet he couldn't bring himself to, he got mad at them over nothing. He had to figure out how to apologize. “I'm sorry.” His voice was quiet, why was he saying it now? They're both asleep. “Don't be, you have the right to be upset.” Takashi's voice was laced with sleep. He only hummed as he felt Takashi hug him slightly tighter.
“We should've explained things to you earlier, we should be the ones apologizing.” Matthew spoke up, voice muffled due to his face being pressed against his shoulder. He only hummed, fingers twirling Matthew's hair. “I got mad at you both for no reason. You simply wanted to talk.” He could feel as Takashi gripped him tighter.
It was silent after that. The only noise was their breathing. “What did you mean earlier, when you said you already know?” Matthew broke the silence. He only pulled Matthew closer, he wanted to be close to both of them. The conversation they had before he ended up pushing them away and falling asleep. “Are you asking how I already know you two are in love?” He was confused.
Why wouldn't he know? Takashi and Matthew were dating before he met them. They simply added him to their relationship. Did they think he didn't know? Is that why they always seemed so guilty? “Why wouldn't I know?” He didn't understand why they would be guilty about it. He wasn't mad about them not outwardly saying they were dating but it was obvious. “Because we didn't even know until a few months ago.” Takashi sounded confused and Matthew moved his face from his shoulder just to give him a look of confusion.
“No, that's not true because you two were dating long before I met either of you.” He moved so he could see them both with ease. This caused them to look at him confused. Takashi only shook his head with a confused laugh. “No, Matt and I never dated before meeting you Adam.” Takashi was now propped up on his elbow.
He only frowned as Matthew mimicked Takashi’s position. “Then you two got together after I met you. All I know is you two are dating and were already together before I joined.” He was confused and it was frustrating. The two were dating and he simply joined. That's how it went, that's how he remembers it.
“Wait, you thought we were all dating?” Matthew had an over excited smile on his face. He only stared, he could hear as Takashi tried to stifle his laughter. He felt embarrassed for some reason, like he couldn't figure out why a joke was funny until it was too late. “Are we not?” His voice was quiet, small. Did he misunderstand everything?
“Only we were Adam, Matt wasn't part of it.”
“Until now!”
Their words caused his ears to heat up. He moved his focus away from them, refusing to let his eyes look at them. He misunderstood the entire thing. How embarrassing. “Is that why you always looked guilty?” He only received hums in response. “Yeah, we didn't know how to tell you.” Takashi moved closer, trying to get his eyes on him.
“But I suppose we really didn't have to since you already thought we were all together.” Matthew's voice was teasing and he moved closer, an attempt at trying to cuddle with him. He only let out a groan. How could he misunderstand something so badly? “You both suck and I hate you.” A lie, a bold faced lie. They both knew it as well because they only moved closer to him. Arms wrapping around his middle.
“You love us.” Matthew's voice was low, soft and full of love. He only hummed as he felt lips moving against his neck and jaw, soft kisses that told him how much they both loved him. It made his heart swell.
