Dar and Adoven are part of my original setting Ivendarea, please don’t tag them as your own OCs or fandom stuff.

its hilarious how adoven, my dnd character that i created and played as before i ever watched critical role, is so completely similar to caleb - the love of books, fire-related ptsd, family problems, guilt complex - like, Wow,,,,,, i still love adoven a lot even though i will probably never play as him again lol

"... I told you they'd never notice it's Breella and me!", laughed Adoven, and Breella giggled next to him. "Alright fine," Carion sighed, dropping five Neril into Adoven's hand, "But still, what you did was risky... By the way, where even are we?"

It's finished! After almost 40 hours spent on an off streams over the past month xD A nightly scenery of Panthil during the annual Rain Festival. Characters and setting are part of my original world and story "The King of Ivendarea".

How does your character show someone that they care for them? What is their love language? How (or does) this differ between romantic and platonic relationships?

When it comes to affection or love language, Adoven is a very touchy/ tactile person. It doesn’t matter if the relationship is platonic or romantic in that regard, everyone gets hugged. He’ll casually lean against his friends or sister during a get-together, put his arm around his lovers when they’re sitting somewhere together, or hold their hand - and in return he likes to be touched and close to others, too.

i have,, an ask about adoven,, he seems v lovely and we're not mutuals but i love your drawing style! how did he get the scar on his face?

The situation in which he got the scar is actually a bit tricky for me to talk about, because it’s - not quite a plot point - but still tied to some early plot points in “The King of Ivendarea” that I’m not ready to share yet!

I can say as much though, he does not have it at the beginning of the story, and he later sees it as a reminder to not trust people that are very empathetic about having “good intentions”. The events revolving around his scar are definitely to a degree traumatizing for the poor boy, putting a crack in the optimism and naivete he had until that point!
