Diana is in so much pain in this episode, it’s heartbreaking. They did this so well.
I kept waiting for her to use her magic... :(
Matthew biting Baldwin is definitely a highlight. It’s like, oh yeah, they’re vampires. Is it weird that I love that they physically fought?
This post is dedicated to Matthew and how he looks so unspeakably good just in that black sweater (lol) and his hair less styled.
Emily being able to see Diana in pain :( and the aunts are so far away! - I love how they show the spells she performs, it looks very cool!
Matthew’s face when he realises Ysabeau knows the castle Em is talking about... *heart eyes* ...that super vampire-in-charge-but-also-out-of-his-mind-with-worry face.
I kind of wish Matthew and Baldwin would have used their fast vampire running to get to Diana instead of a helicopter. I always find it so strange in vamp shows when they don’t do that... Though, I guess in this they never say exactly how fast vampires are exactly.
Diana flies!!!
Diana seeing what Satu did to her but realising she didn’t break her, was pretty powerful.
Gerbert finds the object Satu used to power up some magic, and of course standard operation for things you find on the ground is to lick it... specifically, in this case, he’s licking Diana’s blood off it. 👌🏻😶
I do love that these things are added to show you just how grotesque he is. But also, a little bitch running off. He has to scheme and play games to try and overthrow the de Clermont’s... instead of facing them head on.
Oh Gillian... I mean, maybe they changed the outcome of the attack on Gillian, book vs. show because 1) in case it was too much for some people, having Matthew kill someone, and then 2) to prove the witches (mainly Knox) can be evil too, and will stop at nothing to get the book???
Baldwin: “After all these years defunct, you’re going to rally the Knights of Lazarus to protect a fucking witch!”

I love a heated boss Baldwin but I love commander Matthew more! *bows head*
I feel like I’m newly confused on what makes a Daemon a Daemon... haha. They are geniuses, super creative, and sometimes insane? Surely there’s some kind of other power too... (I’m only a little ways into book 2, so don’t tell me...) Either way, I’m enjoying getting to see Sophie and Nathaniel’s story unfold separately from the rest of the story.
I just realised Meridiana says to Satu as she’s being freed, “Thank you, weaver.” Hmm...? I have seen a thing or two in the fandom about this but never actually looked properly because as soon as I sense so much as a spoiler, I’m out. Interesting. Hmm. Hmm. A weaver? Hmm. Haha 🤪
Diana’s worried there’s something wrong with her... the end is so tense! But they all think she’s spellbound now...
