No, he doesn’t really do anything apart from sending me a "hi” every couple months, and to be honest I kind of want to see how long he’ll keep this up.

1. What did you do in 2014 that you'd never done before?Quite a lot of things, actually! This year was full of very large changes. I would say that the biggest one was moving to a place I really truly enjoy living :)

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?Landing a job at Disney, hands down! I'm super proud of that. But winning NaNoWriMo is a pretty big deal too.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?Random little things: eating out, baking, going to places I wanted to go (like for instance I really wanted to go to Laguna Beach but never did it even though I could have very easily), socializing.

I've been told that I look good in blue, but I don't really wear a lot of blue things.

Tulip: For your birthday, what kind of cake do you ask for?

I'm not really a cake person (unbaked cake batter is so much better), but since my birthday is in summer I usually get a cake with some type of berries.

Locust: What was your favorite book as a child?

Oh my god, there were so many. I think I knew all the Pettersson and Findus books by heart, and I also loved everything by Astrid Lindgren and Michael Ende, particularly Jim Button. ALSO I just remembered this very important book called "Where Santa lives" by Mauri Kunnas (at least that's what it's called in German, I couldn't find an English version) which always made my brother and me SO HYPED for Christmas because it had such detailed descriptions of the elves making the presents for each child.

Congrats! 10,000 words in 4 days is awesome! this year is actually my best yet...I just hit 20,961 today, all thanks to word sprints.

as of this very moment, 8542. planned to do more but having to go to t-mobile got in the way... probably going to try and at least hit 10,000 today, so maybe when I get home I'll work on that. :) how about you?

Aurora, Tiana, Cinderella, Buzz?

Aurora: Story of your first kiss

I had my first kiss was when I was 14 with a guy I was in our school’s theatre ensemble with who was a couple of years above me. We had been chatting online for a while and agreed to have a sort of movie night and he kissed me. It was awkward and messy and to be honest kind of put me off kissing for while. (Not that there were many people dying to kiss me during my teenage formative years.) Until I was 18 I didn’t have a really good kiss.

Any ways, afterwards he thought we were dating and I dumped him. We were still working on a production, though, for the rest of which I managed to ignore him completely.

Tiana: A time you tried the hardest for something.

I am generally a very lazy person and even though I’m also a perfectionist I most often do things half-arsedly (I’m just going to assume that’s a word). But when I was in high school I took drawing classes. Well, they weren’t actual classes, because we didn’t really have a schedule or a goal, but it was really good to sit down once a week with other drawing people and draw. And I can get very competitive when it comes to drawing and try to push myself and get better.

Any ways, our instructor had some grand plans for an exhibition and art auction for the benefit of a local dog shelter and wanted everyone to contribute something.

So (probably because I was under no actual pressure to do good) my competitiveness kicked in and I went all out in drawing my sister with our dog. It was sold for 25€, which was pretty sweet.

Cinderella: “A dream is a wish your heart makes” What’s that for you?

I’m not entirely sure what that is supposed to mean (I never saw the movie), but a wish my heart would certainly make is for me to be content and happy. Thankfully I feel like I am slowly, but surely on my way to that.

Buzz: Your favourite fantasy world (aka Harry Potter, Star Wars), if any.

Definitely Harry Potter, because I grew up with it and I like the kind of domesticity often associated with the Wizarding World.

I never really understood the kind of people who are like, “Oh, I wish I could live in Middle Earth/Westeros/other properly dangerous place and go on adventures!” because I think that would be terrifying. I don’t want to have the kind of adventures where you could get killed. (Then again, I hear getting expelled is worse.)

Anubis: How do you feel about death?

I don’t know, really. I scares me to think about the very real possibility that some people I know might not die of old age but in a car crash, of a disease or violent crime and that’s terrifying.

Arawn: What is the most terrifying thing you’ve ever done?

Alright, kids, gather round, it’s story time. I used to study architecture and earlier this year I was supposed to go to Spain for a study trip, but shortly before that I decided that I architecture wasn’t what I wanted to do and told my instructor that I wouldn’t come, but I had already bought the tickets and they weren’t refundable. And so I decided that I would just do my own thing and explore the city or what ever on my own. I signed up for couchsurfing and found a dude who had a couch to kip on and was free for the week I would go. But the entire thing was a bit last minute and by the time I didn’t have wifi any more he hadn’t sent me his address. I had the name of the village he lived in, so I figured that I’d just ask around. I was feeling adventurous.

As it turned out, most Spanish people don’t speak English well, but everyone I met was incredibly helpful and somehow I ended up on a dusty country road that was, I found out, on the exact wrong side of the city. And I was in deep shit.

I ended up asking a dude where I was, went hiking with him, got invited to a house party by a flock of Spanish college students and spent the rest of the week living with some Dutch language students, so everything turned out okay.

Olwen: What is your favourite flower?

Blue. No, orchids.

Freya: Have you ever been in love?

I’m honestly not sure. I tend to have long-time infatuations while falling in love for a couple of days each on the side and all over the place.

Morpheus: Do you daydream often? Of what?

I wouldn’t call it daydreaming, but I think a lot (and - according to my flatmates - do all the expressions and everything along with it). I really couldn’t say of what I think, though.
