When I think of the relationship of Odysseus with the two goddesses (Circe and Calypso) and the way he lived with their love by practically selling his body to them it reminds me of that moment at the movie "Red Sparrow"
"You must learn to love on command. What is to be loved? To be seen. To be recognized. To feel no longer alone"
This is literally what I imagine Odysseus to be like. He has to love on command. Once to serve Circe and make sure that she is satisfied to give them what they all need. With Calypso he HAS to force himself to "love" her. To be seen. To be recognized. But above all...
To feel no longer alone...
Rape and abuse was the only contact he ever got. The only reminder that he is still there...no wonder that he made himself do it. No longer that "he enjoyed love resting by their side". Because quite frankly...he had to...
WHAT THE FUCK I HATE THIS WHY IS EVERYTHING EITHER ROMANTIC OR SEXUAL WHERE ARE THE PLATONIC RELATIONSHIPS. THE FRIENDSHIPS. THE AQUAINTANCES. WHERE ARE THE MOOTS. I AM READING A TEXT ABOUT DINOSAURS. WDYM AT THE END THE GUY RESEARCHER AND THE GAL RESEARCHER FALL IN LOVE. WDYM THEY KISS. THIS IS ABOUT FUCKING DINOSAURS WTF. WTF.
Circe
Circe (also spelt Kirké) is a powerful sorceress and goddess in Greek mythology with an exceptional talent for mixing drugs. She was the daughter of the sun god Helios and the Oceanid Perseis. Circe's home was found on the wooded island of Aeaea and was guarded by men she had turned into wolves and lions.
Despite having no particular love for humankind, Circe famously found herself embroiled with the hero Odysseus after he and his men arrived on her island. She is also responsible for turning the beautiful nymph Scylla into a fearsome sea monster. In the Aeneid by Virgil (70-19 BCE), Aeneas sails right past her island after he had been warned to avoid her by Odysseus' men.
Birth & Family
Circe was the beautiful daughter of the sun-god Helios and the Oceanid Perseis: "The famous daughter of Ocean, Perseis, Bore to her mate, untiring Helios, Circe and King Aeëtes." (Hesiod, Theogony 954-956). She was the sister of King Aeëtes of Colchis and Pasiphae, the queen of Crete and a fellow sorceress. She was also the aunt of Medea, yet another sorceress.

Circe and the Swine by Albert Goodwin
Circe's Apprentice
The sorceress Circe takes an interest in infant who somehow landed on her island Aeaea it seem so it was done by his own magic. For Danny all started as he said he wanted to learn magic, he could use it already but not strong enough. This purple haired Lady, took Danny in, and yes she did train him in magic and he usd his ghostly abilities to amplify her own powers. And he was having much fun, she and him always left to prank "Granny Hippo and Cluster of Grannies" (That was how Circe said they are called and he can call them that way) and then they left at home eating and sleeping. Circe was having a good time with the toddler and Apprentice. Just few more years and he and her can take over the world!
New look 👌of course I’m keeping the star elements ⭐️
I know I had my sona redesigned a few months back, but that was a long time ago-ish and felt outdated to me
feel like this new design will stick around for a good while and I’m liking it
Always had a love for tactical things ♥️🔥
