like this,
I whipped these up a while ago, but I wanted to post them here. Some weapons that my characters use, with names and everything!
Zephrine’s current and first sword, a rapier which previously belonged to Duc Lupio Sunscryer- the man our party rescued Therila from- and was given to her by Encore. It does 1d6 fire damage and can be used to cast Faerie Fire once per day. The description for it in-game is as follows, courtesy of our dm @greyfen :
“This sword is hot to the touch, the blade seeming to swim and shift like magma when looked at closely.
The ornate hilt has a faded Sunscryer crest carved into it and seems to mold itself to the hand of the wielder, maximizing the reach and speed one has while wielding it.”
Lhoril’s longsword, a birthday gift from her husband, Ja’ghul. In true Nyxian fashion, it is a seamless melting pot of crafting styles, from human to draconic, with its most immediately apparent influence being dwarven. The name, roughly translated from Elven, means Oath Keeper- apt, given it was given to Lhoril after she founded the Brass Order- a local organization dedicated to keeping the peace within the city of Nyx and beyond into the local Coastlands. Due to Lhoril’s arcane abilities, she can summon V’endalisiin at will, so it is never truly out of reach.
Petra’s morningstar and weapon of choice, there is really nothing notable about it at first glance, second, or even third. It simply seems to be a very solidly built implement, albeit a very heavy one. In fact, it seems to have more weight to it than it should, yet Petra seems able to wield it with both incredible ease and accuracy. Whether this is an enchantment at work or simply Petra herself is unclear. Also, she named it herself and she thinks it’s incredibly clever and funny.
Aedris’s bastard sword, found in a small, humble, and very abandoned shrine to Bahamut shortly before she became a Platinum Knight. It is by all appearances and incredibly simple weapon, but this simplicity seems to not only be intentional, but also adds its own sort of elegance to the piece. The blade looks deceptively new, despite being quite old, with only minor cosmetic flaws. It never leaves Aedris’s side and is by far her favorite weapon, and though she’s been known to collect weapons of all sorts, she rarely uses the others and claims nothing so far has been able to compare. The original owner and name of the sword remains unknown, but Aedris is content with the name given. It is simply called Mercy, because you should not have Justice without it.
A mystery rapier, seen in an apocalyptic dream Zephrine had where everything was bleak and drab and completely devoid of life. She was wearing Tiamat-themed armor, at a time when Zephrine would never have even conceived of wearing it, and she was wielding this sword. It was lightweight and incredibly precise, though sadly it didn’t do her much good as she awoke from her sleep when she was killed by a shadowy entity.
So I hadn’t uploaded these either, like a fool. Was trying something new with kinda mixing my more paint-y style with my normal one??
Anyway, this is Aedrisoranthe, a Platinum Knight(aka a sort of knight errant who represents Bahamut) and Tethiadrix, a traveling adventurer(who belongs to @greyfen) and definitely not a copper dragon who’s curious about not-dragon society.
this isn't much of a question I know. But which of your OC's is the most into fashion? :P
It is, in fact, a lovely question, so thank you. <3
The answer is, to the surprise of probably no one, Zephrine. A lot of my characters like to look good, and most can manage it, but Zeph is the one who actually thinks of clothing and aesthetic as an artform. Part of it’s personal preference, and part of it’s cultural(She’s from Cordeaux/FantasyFrance, and although extravagant clothes are definitely a nobility thing, emphasis on aesthetic is universal), and yet another part of it is working as someone who had to put a huge emphasis on presentation for the sake of entertainment. Fashion can awe, fashion can make a statement, fashion can tell people a lot about you, etc. Also, fashion involves a lot of shiny pretty things, and Zeph is a big fan of shiny pretty things.
Lhoril is a close second on the Fashion Hierarchy, only pushed a little further down by being ever so slightly more down-to-earth than Zephrine. She believes clothing and presentation is important, though for her it’s less because she believes in fashion as an artform so much as… well, she’s in the upper echelons of society. She has to look the part, and when she’s not wearing armor she’s always sure to look her best. She also just happens to have really good taste, which she doesn’t shy away from.
Most of my other characters are further down the Fashion Hierarchy, not because they don’t or can’t look nice, but simply because fashion is more just… how to look good, rather than some standard that must be met.
Nera is pretty fashionable and always looks pretty cute, though she doesn’t dress up super often in the Caerllon setting. Kajra dresses nicely overall but is very goth and also tends to wear his mage guild’s robes more than anything since he can’t be bothered with anything else most of the time. Aedris is just… in her armor like 24/7 and dresses rather plainly otherwise. Petra is also in her armor most of the time but in the rare moment she’s just chilling, if weather permits she’s happiest wearing a nice sundress and some sandals and values comfort and enjoys the occasional floral pattern.
Ricochet also wears armor a lot but also usually dresses to suit whatever role she might need to play as an assassin, and unfortunately that usually means dressing like a servant. When she can dress for herself, though, her attire is simple but very clean cut and elegant. She’s a sharp suit kinda gal and cleans up nicely. Also prone to wearing a lot of leather, armor or casual.
Aaand finally, we have Sunni, who I haven’t entirely figured out yet but am 100% certain that she wears dresses 99% of the time and likes to add elements of her tribe’s fashion to stuff from outside it. She’s proud of where she’s from but moreso, she loves trying new things.
this is my dnd characters dad im obsessed with him

ALBUM REVIEW: Possessed Steel – Aedris – Temple Of Mystery Records
While Toronto’s Possessed Steel approached Epic Metal with a rough attitude on the EPs they released in 2014 and 2017, their first proper full-length is much classier in comparison. The style is as grandiose as ever, but a greater emphasis on intricate guitar harmonies and polished production gives Aedris (Temple Of Mystery Records) more in common with a band like Wytch Hazel than Atlantean…

Redesigned Aedris! Now she is more like a flower. And bird. I wanted to make her design to look more like the flower she was based off of: the Bird of Paradise. I’m happy with this design.
Finished Aedris. Made her sword more closely resemble a rose because flowers.
