This one is a 1968 Willys Overland Aero Willys. The engine was a 2.6 6 cylinder with only 90hp, pretty low even for the 60's. Later this engine grew to a 3 liter 6 cylinder with 110hp, but it wasn't very reliable and used to overheat. In 1967 Ford bought Willys and started the phase out of the Aero, the last year of production was 1971. In comparision with the Ford Galaxie, the Aero was slow, had bad brakes and wasn't a good performer in corners. The 3 liter engine had an after life with Ford, using it on the Maverick with little or no success, being replaced by the 2.3 4 cylinder OHC with better performance, fuel consumption and reliability.
