45 "Will you marry me?" for Aether shipping ;3

Why do you do this to me, anon? 

💍 Things were never going to go any further if no one gave one of them a little push.

💍 Lillie knew this and she also knew they both had been happy for seven fucking years and, honestly, it was a surprise for others to find out they weren’t married. 

💍 She asked her brother about it and he would just usually say something like, “It shouldn’t matter, we’re both happy just being together.” 

💍 She knew it was a liiittle different for Kaira, whom she hoped she could call her sister-in-law soon. 

💍 She called her friend and said she wanted to meet and talk for a while, so they made plans to meet in Malie Garden after Kaira was finished with her work for the day. 

💍 Lillie showed up a little early, determined to finally get through to the other girl and get the truth out of her.

💍 After Kaira arrived, they idly talked a bit and then Lillie finally brought up what she wanted to ask her about. 

💍 “Hey, Kaira? Do you want to marry my brother?” 

💍 It took the other so off guard she dropped what she was holding, her face two different shades of red. 

💍 “Wh-what?! I-I.. What? What kind of question i-is that?” 

💍 “Come on, Kaira! All you have to do is answer me. I know you do, but I gotta hear it. You want to marry my brother, don’t you? You want him to pick out a ring just for you and get down on one knee and say those four words, ‘Will you marry me?’ right??” 

💍 Kaira shifted her gaze, looking anywhere but at the blonde sitting with her. She was stuttering and frustrated, more so with herself. 

💍 Then she started to cry and Lillie freaked out, she hadn’t thought her question was that bad that she’d make Kaira cry.

💍 “I’m so sorry, Kaira, I didn’t mean to-”

💍 No, no, it’s not your fault.” She interrupted Lillie, wiping away at her eyes. “Sorry, I’m not good when I get embarrassed or feel nervous, you know that. I just..” 

💍 She took a deep breath and let it out slowly, looking a little worried as she leaned down to pick up what she had dropped.

💍 “Yeah, I want him to ask me to marry him, but if he’s happy with things the way they are, then I’m happy too. I don’t care if we never marry, even if I really want to, because I’m happiest with him no matter what.”

💍 Lillie opened her mouth to say something, then closed it, just gently squeezing her friend’s shoulder and smiling. 

💍 She finally managed to tell Kaira, “You should talk to him about it.” 

💍 “I agree, you should talk to me about it, Kai. Actually, you should have told me you felt that way a while ago..” 

💍 Kaira nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard her boyfriend’s voice and looked to Lillie for help, but was met with a just as confused look.

💍 “Sorry, I went to go see if you wanted to go out for dinner together, but they said you went to Mallie Garden. I didn’t mean to eavesdrop on you two.” 

💍 Lillie gave Kaira a sympathetic pat or two before finding an excuse to leave the two of them to talk. Kaira couldn’t meet his eyes when he sat next to her, she was shaking a little, probably from her nerves..

Robin uses a new fighting style and both he and Lucina wind up with far too many injuries for either's sake.

Robin and Lucina discuss the future and begin coming to terms with their feelings.

For Robcina Week Day 4: Hugging. I could’ve done more, but time was an issue. I actually was kicking around a few different ideas [Robin hugging a despairing “Marth” at the end of the Plegian Arc; Sleepy hugs with Sumia and Chrom letting them sleep a bit longer cause it’s too cute] for this one and settled on their A support conversation, even though I’m goiing to kick myself for that later.

On a cold winter's day, Robin and Lucina read a story to their children and reflect on their past.

So... I didn’t exactly plan on it, but it happened. So here’s another Crossing Bridges drabble.

You should do an Aethershipping scenario with this song as a prompt! (Song: "Be Still" by The Fray) I think you could make something cute!

I have never actually heard this song until now, despite being a huge fan of The Fray. The inspiration for this took a while to come to me, ngl. It’s a little choppy in places but over all, I like the theme for it. (I cried when I first listened to the song today and then I cried again when listening to it and thinking up this scenario)

Note: The italicized parts are the singing parts, I made it that way so as to not confuse the lyrics with some of the memories.

Gladion knew Kaira loved to dance, even despite her clumsy nature. He’d considered taking her out to dance, but was worried the two of them, and others, would end up with a couple bruises. But, watching her putting away her groceries, humming quietly, he suddenly got the urge to dance with her. He grabbed her arm and spun her around, smiling gently down at the confused girl. He moved his hands to her hips, her arms instictively wrapping around his neck. “Let’s dance, even for a little, Kaira.” Her eyes lit up, he could see that even a little gesture like this made her so happy.

They danced slowly for a while, he was careful to make sure she didn’t trip or bump into anything. She started humming again, quieter than earlier. He pulled her in closer, letting her rest her head against his shoulder. Dancing with her like that, so close, it felt so intimate. He felt his heart swelling, sudden, uninvited emotions came rushing to the surface all at once. He heard her quietly singing, which wasn’t helping much with everything he was feeling. He listened closely, loving the soft sound of her voice.

“When darkness comes upon you. And colors you with fear and shame,” he couldn’t help but let himself think. He remembered when she chased them down to the docks, shortly after he found out Lillie was taken back to Aether. He remembered the way her voice cracked when she told him she wanted to help. “I’m not strong and I’m not brave, but..” “Be still and know that I’m with you and I will say your name.” “I want to help you, Gladion!”

His mind jumped to when she came to see him and he noticed her stumbling and swaying more than usual. He sat her down and refused to drop the subject until she finally broke down. “ If terror falls upon your bed and sleep no longer comes,” “I-I.. I can’t stop having nightmares, of my own mother..” He’d never seen her crying before, without thinking, he pulled her into a hug like he would have done for his little sister. He promised her that, whenever she couldn’t sleep or was afraid to, she could come here and find him, he’d stay up with her. The first time she showed up in the middle of the night, he sat with her and they just stayed quiet while she brushed Silvally.

“Remember all the words I said. Be still, be still, and know.” All the times they stayed up together when one or the other couldn’t sleep. They talked about whatever came to mind most nights, but then there was the night she opened up to him completely. She told him the terrible things her mother had done, the things her father turned a blind eye to the few times she saw him, how much it hurt to watch her oldest sister turn and walk away without a word. He’d never known how much she’d gone through until that night, he’d found himself crying suddenly, much to his own despise. He’d never cried for anyone else, just her. “And when you go through the valley and the shadow comes down from the hill. If morning never comes to be, be still, be still, be still.”

They’d stopped moving and she was singing into his shoulder, her voice wavering. “If you forget the way to go and lose where you came from. If no one is standing beside you, be still and know I am.” He thought back to when he was afraid, when they went to rescue Lillie. She stood against their own team with him, she received a hard slap from one of the other grunts too, but refused to step back from his side. He remembered when she told him she was going back to Kanto. She said she couldn’t keep living in fear of her own mother, she had to do something. He’d said he would go with her, saying he wanted to go visit Lillie. He didn’t outright lie, but he was also going with because he knew she would need someone who would understand, who wouldn’t turn and run if she needed them.

The two of them had become each other’s support, they’d gotten through life-changing events together, by choice or not. When he finally began to understand his own feelings for her, there was no way he was ever coming back from that. It’d taken what felt like forever for him to finally tell her, and she’d cried when he did. He thought he’d said something wrong, but she admitted that she had never thought someone like her would ever be cared for the way he did for her. “Be still and know that I’m with you. Be still and know I am.” He let out a deep breath after she grew quiet and then buried his face in her hair, to hide the growing tears in his eyes.

Everything he remembered sparked something in him, he couldn’t stop it. He held her close and finally choked out, “I love you.” He heard her laugh and hold onto him tighter, he could tell she was crying too. He never thought one little dance would lead them to this, but love does funny things to everyone and never holds back.

Aethershipping firsts? (Like first date, first kiss, etc)

I’m uh, not really sure what else would be a good “first” in a relationship other than the three I did, so if anyone has any more ideas let me know?

First Date

❤Their first “date” wasn’t technically a date but it also was at the same time.

❤It started out as just the two of them hanging out around on one of the islands like usual and Kaira wanted to get ice cream/

❤It was completely normal to the two of them until someone approached them and asked them if they were dating

❤"Are we dating? I don’t think we’re dating..?“

❤It was awkward between them for a bit until Gladion asked if she wanted to go see a movie with him

First Kiss

❤Their first kiss was really rushed and unplanned

❤It was the Christmas after they’d started dating and Hau, being well.. Hau, had thrown yet another Christmas Party

❤Everything was okay until most of their friends kept looking over at them and giggling

❤Hau had managed to get the two of them under the mistletoe at the same time..

❤It was short, awkward, a little sloppy but also very sweet

❤Lots of cheers from their friends afterwards.

First Time

❤They both were so very nervous and awkward their first time

❤They both had talked about it though, eventually.

❤It was hard to talk about it when every time anything relating to it was brought up, Kaira would go red in the face and try to change the subject asap

❤But they both felt comfortable with each other and wanted it

❤It was very well into their relationship at this point

❤They cuddled and watched a movie together afterwards, Kaira probably fell asleep first
