wrestlers im convinced are nonbinary
already talked about this a bit (also wrote several fics about it) but damian is sooo nonbinary to me...
especially with the storyline of the og judgement day; damian being sort of forced to masculinize themself in order to be "useful" to edge. forced into the role of the Son, when their former gimmick was a lot more laid back, lighthearted, confidently androgynous. in the judgement day, damian had to be the man; the protector; the strength. they've always been big, they just always felt pressure to "act" big in the judgement day, in order to just. pull their weight. protect the others.
but all that pressure to perform masculinity for both the crowd and their family was wearing them down mentally, hence why they act so much more free and happy outside of it.
also not to say nonbinary people have a specific look but babyface damian...
one of the first thoughts i HAD about ilja dragunov was "they're kind of nonbinary with it" and i stand by that.
i feel like growing up, ilja was already a bit "different" (a bit too intense, passionate, emotive) so they were always excluded from the typical boy experience. but it also didn't bother them at all because they had no interest in it. they were doing their own thing entirely. also important that i headcanon them as aromantic, so the whole "love" side of gendered experiences wasn't relevant to them either; boys like girls and girls like boys and ilja likes wrestling. thats all.
they present male for convenience alone; they're not even closeted, they're only "male" when someone asks if they're allowed to wrestle men. strictly gendered stuff in general makes them pretty uncomfortable, whenever someone acts like men and women are different species they just drop out of the conversation entirely. no time for that nonsense.
i mean cmon now. people hate it when i say it but thats a transmasculine girl!!! she would go on t if it was easy. i fully believe she regularly binds. sometimes uses a packer just for fun. masculinity is Fun and feels natural to her. but shes NOT a man!!!! shes THE man!!!!! and dont you dare forget it!!!!!!
has no problem presenting femme, that's fun too, but if anyone ever tells her to "act like a woman" they will be punched. in the face
i also talked about this on my Super Secret teenre blog, but i feel like she takes a lot of joy in being a "tomboy"; rough housing and climbing trees and getting into fights all feels natural. being Clean and Proper feels wrong. forced.

literally nonhuman, you really can't expect it to have any idea about human gender. it seems Pointless and Dumb to it that there's apparently only "two" genders. i dunno man seems kinda fake...gotta be more than that....
has no problem referring to itself as a man or as he/him because that's what people expect of it and well...it really just wants to be Liked. no point in explaining its own complexity.

xe was always a "tomboy" (normal kid who wanted to play around instead of performing girlhood for the adults around him) so when he came out, xe got a lot of "i could always tell" which sort of bothered him because like...xe's not JUST a guy now, he's still je'von, xe's still doing xeir own thing, he's still nonbinary with it??? he made a promise to himself to keep getting More silly and whimsical and energetic and positive just to piss off everyone that tried to make xem conform.
our second transmasculine girl of the night...she's so ftnb. the entire narrative of her being a stereotypical cheerleader until something paranormal finally pushes her to confront this dormant side of herself that she's never addressed, something that very loudly goes Against the image of the perfect feminine girl she was made to perform for so much of her life.
especially the imagery of her shooting her old self in the chest with an arrow...yeah that's a transition metaphor. even her theme song's lyrics???? "none shall mourn; i am reborn"?????? shes TRANS!!!! she's a femme transmasc enby!!!! look at her!!!!!
