“Ladies, gentlemen, the truth is I run a highly secretive corporation that funds vigilante justice.
Now, you have to ask yourself:
Is he telling the truth?
Or is he lying?
If he's telling the truth, why?”

i just stay at home | derek & cora
[ cora hates derek's loft. it's too big and bare and empty. it's like he doesn't want to linger. it's like, at times, he doesn't want to exist. and she gets it, the feeling of wanting to be a ghost, but now that's she's found him again, cora's found the will to live — like a grumpy teenage girl, like the girl she was back when she had a family.
but she likes it in moments like these, when she's wearing her work-out gear, and they're being normal — somewhat. she feels like herself, the girl he's starting to accept as his sister; she's not the cora who died in the house fire, she's not the cora who wears so much grief it almost makes her crumble. she's just cora.
but there are times where she really doesn't like being a teenage girl. today happens to be one of those days. she rolls her eyes exaggeratedly, even groaning in frustration. she had just wanted to work out with him; it's a hale thing, right? exercising. taking out their frustration on each other.
cora turns away from him. ]
