So surely as the stars are fashioned by His hands, and their orbits fixed by Him, so surely are our trials allotted to us: He has ordained their season and their place, their intensity, and the effect they shall have upon us.

WHY THERE IS SO MUCH DELAY IN OUR DAUGHTER’S MARRIAGE AS PER HER HOROSCOPE
In Vedic astrology, the Moon is considered one of the most significant celestial bodies, representing the mind, emotions, intuition, and overall mental well-being of an individual.
When the Moon is “afflicted,” it means that its natural benefic qualities are weakened or disturbed due to the influence of malefic planets or adverse placements. An afflicted Moon can occur when it is conjunct, aspected, or hemmed between malefic planets such as Saturn, Mars, Rahu, or Ketu.
It may also be considered afflicted when placed in certain houses like the 6th, 8th, or 12th, or when it occupies an unfavorable sign such as Scorpio, its debilitation sign. Additionally, a waning Moon, especially when it is close to the Amavasya (New Moon), is viewed as weak or afflicted because its luminosity—and thus its nourishing energy—is diminished.
The Moon governs the emotional and mental stability of a person; therefore, its affliction often manifests as psychological unrest, mood swings, anxiety, depression, or emotional insecurity.
Such individuals may struggle to find inner peace and may be overly sensitive, easily hurt, or prone to negative thinking. The affliction can also impact one’s ability to form stable relationships, as the Moon signifies nurturing and emotional bonding. Physical health can be affected as well, since the Moon governs bodily fluids and the mind–body connection; afflictions may lead to issues related to sleep, digestion, or hormonal imbalances.
From a karmic perspective, an afflicted Moon indicates unresolved emotional patterns or past-life tendencies that require healing in this lifetime. The extent of the affliction and its impact depends on the strength of the Moon in the birth chart, its placement in different houses and signs, and the overall planetary configuration.
For example, if the afflicted Moon is supported by benefic aspects from Jupiter or Venus, its negative effects can be greatly reduced.
Spiritual practices that promote calmness and emotional balance like meditation, spending time near water, or moon-gazing are also beneficial. In essence, an afflicted Moon challenges an individual’s emotional resilience, but through awareness and remedial measures, it can lead to profound inner growth and emotional maturity.
