Hi! I found your blog while scrolling crochetblr, and I adore the gorgeous Afghan blocks you've made! Are you still working on that project?
oh thank you how kind! I absolutely still am, i just set myself high standards for what photos i want to upload of my work, and in what state of progress the blocks should be (finished, ideally) plus i try to match them together in a way that looks nice — so i haven’t gotten around to posting my latest blocks!
Here are the most recent unposted ones for you to see :)
these two are unfinished, they need an extension and then the border i do around all blocks
These two are finished, but i’m not 100% happy with the sun motif/orange colored square (altho they look super nice here together)
These two are still unfinished, the yellow pink square has actually been in this state for almost a year lol. I’m super picky with what colors i want to continue
These last two i just don’t like the colors the gradient yarn chose for me, so i might frog until the points that i still enjoy them at
And this one is finished :) i just haven’t gotten around to taking a proper picture with the last row!
I recently sized up the blanket (again lol) and laid out all my squares and started wips and…. It’s getting quite huge :) for some reason i only ever take these pics whenever it’s dark and my bedroom is a mess.
Guy who definitely is good at making squares:
Yeah...the gauge definitely changed somewhat between rolags. Pretty though !
Fixed it :)
The border is the rabbit blend and I think it works pretty well.
The Adelheid Square by Diana Krenz on Ravelry! This one is so striking I love it
Finished MooglyBlog Crochet-Along 2020! Each square is by a different designer, and they’re posted all year; you pick the border and the join and you have a blanket ready by Christmas (although I fell off, I had fun finishing it up late hahahaha). Each square is about a foot squared, so the whole blanket is a little over 6x4. C:
