a/n: hello!! I am so glad to be finally posting my fanfic (kind of tfirst fan fic) I hope you guys like it, and go ahead and be honest because I’m still learning
You shake jake trying to wake him up,
He could barely keep his eyes open
You lean the tray towards Jake as he Lay’s there confused his eyebrows furrowed.
His voice was rough as he slowly gaining conciseness,
“I made brownies, want one?”
He slowly blinks, looks outside, and around him and pinches the bridge of his nose.
“(Y/n)….. it’s about 3 in the morning….why are you making brownies….”
He sighs heavily and sits up, looking absolutely miserable and exhausted.
“I dunno….i just a thought to make some…..at this..certain time?… want one?”
He looks at the tray, then back at you, then the tray, then back at you, and sighs.
“Fine.. only because I haven’t had one in a long time…”
He picks up one piece and takes a bite and chews, and chews, and nods in approval.
“It’s great n all… but seriously (y/n)… we need to get some sleep”
He sets his bitten brownie back down onto the tray,
You show a proud smile, your tail curl.
“It’s….. delicious I’ll definitely eat more tomorrow morning, for now… put down the tray…”
You hesitate at first but you follow his orders, and set the tray aside.
Next thing you know Jake wraps his arm around your waist and pulls you towards him, and make you lay down with him, ignoring your protest and falls asleep spooning you.
(Ex: you wake up seeing Jake eating brownies in the morning while carving his knife)
“Lo’ak…. Lo’ak wake up….”
“Lo’ak I made browniesssss”
Lo’ak was half asleep half awake and only mumbled sounds.
You grabbed a tiny piece,
“Yeah try it, and tell me of you like it.”
You brought the tiny piece of brownie towards his mouth, to which he actually did open his mouth, and when you put it in his mouth, he chewed.
You asked curiously, he swallowed the piece of brownie and paused.
“Thats really good…. Mhm…”
He said his voice being slurred before sitting up and takes another bite of the same brownie.
He didn’t care, or questioned, why you made brownies in 3 in the morning, no, he just sat there and ate brownies with you until the tray was empty.
You couldn’t help but chuckle a little by how nonchalant he’s handling this
Lo’ak looked at you with admiration before he cupped your face with one hand and leaned in, to kissed you on your lips, you eyes fluttered before closing your eyes, savoring the moment.
“You really liked this brownies didn’t you?”
He mumbled resting his head on your chest while his arms wrapped around your waist slowly falling asleep, your face flushed purple but cleared your throat and regained your composure before falling asleep along with him.
(Ex:the next day he told you about a dream he had, where you baked these delicious brownies and you two a finished the whole thing together before going back to sleep cuddling, when you told him that wasn’t a dream and showed him the empty tray, he asked you if you could make it again.)
You gently shook him but it was no use, despite his long day today, in the battle field.
“Neteyam~~….. awake yourself~~…”
You said in a sing song voice, but he only responded with heavy snoring, VERY heavy in fact, you then proceeded to shake harder.
You raised your voice, he flinched awake his eyes puffy, blinking slowly, brows furrowed, looking at you with confusion.
“What is it yawne….. why are you awake…at….3 in the morning…..”
His voice groggy and confused.
“I have made brownies Ma’teyam, try one!”
His expression turned into annoyance as he looked at you, and oh boy did he resemble neytiri in that moment.
He said as he turned away and try to go back to bed.
He sighed as he looked over his shoulder to look at you and the brownies, at that moment he did think the brownies looked good, so he rolled his eyes and sits up and grabbed a brownie.
“Fine… I’m only doing it because your cooking is irresistible.”
You waited for him to take a bite but he was only looking at you, and it wasn’t in a admiration way it was an expectation way, so you start to look around to see if you forgot something, but then his eyes trailed down to the brownies and back to you.
You picked up a piece of brownie as well, and you both tapped your brownies together.
Neteyam said looking at you with a soft stare smiling.
You reply back grinning with your fangs showing, before you both taking a bite of the brownie.
Neteyam feedbacks while licked his lips as he kept chewing.
“See…I knew you’d like it”
You replied with a smug look on your face,
“Still crazy to wake me up to introduce me to this food, this late.”
He said finishing his Brownie, licking his chocolate-y fingers clean.
“Still, you can never resist my cooking, or me..”
You give him a roguish smile before wiping off the chocolate off his lip before kissing him,his eyes widen from the unexpected kiss before he melts into it, you pull away with a smile on your lips.
“You’re going to make me fold yawne..c’mere…”
He pulls you in, and you both giggle and collapse onto the hammock, he kissed your temple before you both fell asleep.
(Ex:he skipped training just to be with you the whole day, to make love, and eat your left over brownies)
He groaned not moving a muscle, only trying to sleep.
“I knew you were awake… anyways, I baked brownies because-…. Wait… how come you are awake at this time?”
He stilled for a second his ears gets flat against his head.
He mumbled and you could barely hear him and lifted a brow.
He finishes his voice filled with embarrassment, You paused for a moment before you started to giggle, he sits up immediately and looks at you with a signature angry look.
“Tsal lu ke hiyìk!!” (It is not funny!!)
You always found his angry look, adorable, and cute, instead of fierce, and scary.
“Ma’tsu’tey…… why must you have trouble sleeping?…”
You asked with sincerity,setting down the tray of brownies to cup his face.
“I do not know….why….but there is a lot on my mind that I cannot settle.”
He eased down as you cupped his cheek.
“Well… we are both awake and I have made brownies… how about we eat them…. Together”
He formed a small smile and took a piece of brownie and took a small hesitant bite,
He shrugged and kept eating it, but the important part was is that you two were eating the brownies while holding hands, which led to you two to eventually falling asleep.
(Ex:now every time he struggles to sleep he would eat a leftover brownies while holding your hand, sometimes you were asleep but he still found comfort and warmth against it and always fell asleep right after, and that successfully fixed his sleeping problems)
The seas were calm and waves sounds were filling the air and of course tonowari was sleeping peacefully until you decided to bake brownies.
“Tonowari?… are you awake?…”
It was dumb to even ask that question because Tonowari was a heavy heavy sleeper, heaviest you ever known, and ever will.
You shaked,rolled,tapped,squeezed him nothing, absolutely nothing was working he was deeply asleep not a single muscle moved and twitched, at that point you started to check if he was even alive. (He was dw)
All you did was sigh in exasperation and thought really hard and then an idea formed in your head you cleared your throat.
He got up so fast, a speed that you never thought could be possible.
He then saw you sitting there innocently holding a tray of something he didn’t bother guessing, he blinked and looked around and shrugged and sat back down.
“What are you doing up ma’(y/n)”
He said grabbing a piece of brownie without questioning or observing it first because he only simply thought it was edible.
“Well I was enjoying the waves and sea and I made this and thought to, come to you……”
He started eating it and chewed, his face showed uncertainty at first but continued to chew.
He said curiously as he kept chewing taking another bite.
“Brownies b-r-o-w-n-i-e-s brownies, chocolate dessert.”
It didn’t look like he cared but he kept chewing and munching on it anyways before stopping.
“Not my type of food to feast on…”
He sets the brownie back onto the tray and wiped the chocolate off his fingers.
He said vaguely before laying back down and falling asleep, you sat there confused still holding the tray and took a bite of the brownie to check for yourself.
“Too sweet huh?….oh well…”
You shrugged it off and set the tray down before laying down right next to him eventually falling asleep.
(Ex: next time when it wasn’t 3 am, you decided to try again, and you found out that Tonowari was a salted type of guy, so you made salted caramel brownies. When you introduced it to him at first he wasn’t so sure but then he kept eating and eating until the whole tray was gone.)
Aonung woke up easily, and looked up at you.
His voice rough already looking annoyed.
You said so proudly holding the tray like it was a trophy, all he did was blink and stare,and lift a brow.
He repeated in a confused tone.
“Yeah brownie… they are delicious try one!”
He looked outside seeing it’s still night, and looked back at you.
He said gruffly before sighing.
“That doesn’t change the fact that i still baked brownies…..”
You still smile hoping for him to take a bite or observe it at least.
“I’m going back to sleep”
He said before resting his head back onto the hammock, your smile faltered, and your ears pinned back, while setting down the tray of brownies before laying down on the mat.
The hammock felt too light so he looked over his shoulder and saw you laying on the mat,
You didn’t respond and continued to lay still, shivering a bit.
“Just come here and sleep already”
He pouts and sighs before getting off of the hammock and Lay right beside you,
You scoot yourself away,he scoots himself closer only for you to move away.
He’s rolled his eyes and had enough, so he pulled you towards him and he rest his chin on your shoulder.
You said your voice gruff, he only buried his face into your hair breathing in your scent, it made you shiver as you caught your breath.
You only sighed, trying to get him off of you, but with every attempt his grip only tightened around you.
You warned weakly, trying to move a muscle but couldn’t due to his hold on you,
“I’m still not letting go (Y/N)..”
As you kept protesting he slowly fell asleep still holding you tight around.
“Are you seriously asleep!? Aonung!…”
You sigh in defeat just stuck there, slowly you start to fall asleep since it was the only option because you knew Aonung wasn’t going to wake up anytime soon.
(Ex:you both wake up and your still annoyed at him, so then he finally gives in and grabs a brownie and eats it for you to be satisfied, you felt a little better but at the same time you were still dissatisfied, he only kept chewing and rolled his eyes.
To make you feel better he cancelled all of his plans and made it all about you, at the end of the day you decide to accept his apology and not make it a whole big deal.)
His ears twitched as he recognized your voice, his eyes slowly opening.
You start shaking him, but he gently grabs your wrist.
He sits up with his voice honeyed, and thinks of why you could be this hyper and awake at this time.
“I made brownies! Tada~~~!”
You revealed the brownies very cheerfully, he look at you then the brownies and raised a hairless brow.
His face is mixed with genuine concern and confusion as he looks at you.
“They are a chocolate dessert that the sky people make, they can come in many flavors like in caramel,coconut,s’mores,cookies and cream,peanut butter, and many more!”
You try to explain to him but he only squints his eyes and looks really confused.
“I do not know what words you have even used.”
All you could do is sigh in exasperation and grab a brownie.
“Just try one! I promise you’ll like it!”
He looks at the brownie with pure disgust, with his brows furrowed.
“You… want me to…try this?..”
“Well yeah! Come one just stick your hand out!”
He hesitantly pulls his hand out, and you place the brownie onto his palm.
“It feels like dried mud..”
He sighs and takes a bite of the brownie, at that moment his pupils dilate and his tail curls,he blinks and keeps chewing.
“like I said sky people food it disgusting.”
“You didn’t even say that?…”
He sets the brownie onto the plate and shrugs.
“Eh… still…I’ve made my point”
He kisses your cheek and grabs your hand rubbing his thumb on your wrist, before turning his whole body and Lays down.
“I’m going to rest now, rest with me”
You pout, because you had high hopes that he would like the brownie as you were just about to throw it away or feed it to the ikrans, or direhorse, until you heard so’lek still chewing, so you decided to not give away the brownies and keep it, before falling asleep with so’lek.
(Ex:the next couple of days you start to notice the brownies were disappearing one by one, when you called out so’lek if he has been eating them he simply just denied it, with chocolate crumbs on the corner of his mouth, and even when you told him you were going to get rid of them he quickly stopped you and took them away from you and walked away with them.)
You walk into the kelku, and got into the hammock very slowly, and carefully.
Itu still being asleep, senses your presence, and wraps his arms around you pulling you closer while softly sleeping.
You simply gasped and chuckled and softly tapped his cheek.
His eyes was still closed but he was slightly awake.
You ran your fingers through his hair while he still close to you,
He opened his eyes very slowly and looked at the squared, brown, unfamiliar food.
You giggled and shook your head,
“Of course it is edible skxawng, it is a dessert.”
His tail swayed curiously while observing the brownies,
“It does not look…na’vi…..”
He looked at it very closely,
He asked curiously, Your ears then drooped down and cleared your throat,
“Well……yes… But! I promise it’s really good.”
You picked up the brownie and brought it towards his mouth.
“Here… just try it?.. please?”
He looked at you and then the brownie and opened his mouth and took a bite of it,
His ears went up and look surprised but pleased and took another bite.
“That was very delicious”
You smiled and squeezed his cheek,
“Good, I’m glad you like it ma’itu”
You both chuckled and he kissed your cheek,
“You make me crazy yawne.”
He kept kissing you from the temple, to your jawline,
“Agh! Your getting chocolate on me!”
You whined and he only chuckled,
“Oops then I need to clean it then~”
He sticks his tongue out teasing you, and you quickly pull your head away.
You start to push him away, and you both start getting too close to the edge and accidentally flipped over and fell to the floor, instead of complaining you both started to laugh.
You looked at him, got on top of him ,cupped his face with both of your hands, and gave him popcorn kisses.
you gave him one more kiss before stopping but don’t pull away instead you rest your forehead onto his and you both close your eyes smiling.
“You are such a skxawng sometimes..”
You chuckled still resting your forehead against his.
“And I will forever be your skxawng”
He replies back, finishing off.
You both laugh, before falling asleep on the floor stuck onto each other, not letting go of each other one second.
(Ex: you guys wanted more brownies but since you two flipped over they got everywhere and some squished 😔)
You stepped inside of the kelku and you couldn’t find him in there,
You start investigating outside, you surprisingly found tamtey awake coming back from destroying an RDA base,
“Have you seen teylan anywhere?..”
“No I haven’t talked to him since this afternoon”
You only sighed in defeat and thanked tamtey for trying, you stepped outside still looking and you saw íley you got confused on why íley was here, but you remembered that íley travels or roams around when so’lek is nearby.
The next strange part is íley screeching at you, you stepped back in surprise.
Íley then pushed you with his snout, making you stumble back wards,
“Hey stop! Íley what are you doing?!”
Íley gave you one final shove and you stumbled onto the metal doors that opened.
“You want me to go in here?..”
Íley only chittered, you went inside and the door shuts making a hissing noise, the 2nd door opened and then you saw teylan working on some gadgets.
Teylan jumped and turned around immediately his ears pinning back recognizing that voice anywhere.
“My love! What are you…doing awake?…”
He trips and gathers all of the tech stuff in one big pile hiding it behind him,
“I could ask you the same thing..”
“How about you go first…since I asked….first?”
You sighed at his stubbornness and walked over to the table, and set the small white sack onto the table and unraveled it,
“I made brownies, to surprise you.”
He picked up the brownie and took a bite.
He asked confused as he chewed,
“That’s why it’s called a surprise!”
you pinched his arm and he yelped rubbing the spot.
“What about you why are you awake at 3?”
“Okay! okay!…just give me a second…”
He turns around and hesitates but grabs an object from the table, and puts it into a box. He turns around once more and faces towards you with a sheepish smile chuckling nervously.
You raise a hairless brow and take the box from his hand and inspects the box itself,
“What is this supposed to be?”
You asked cautiously in case it’s anything bad.
“Well since you’re birthday is coming up soon… I couldn’t get the idea of making you a birthday gift out of my head, so I had to do it!”
“3 months before my birthday?…..”
He froze then cleared his throat,
“Well!… yes… but I love you and you know that, so.. happy early birthday!”
You couldn’t be mad or disappointed at him so you gave him a soft smile and opened the box.
Inside was an armband and a knife you mouth opened in awe, pupils dilated.
“Teylan.. it’s… beautiful…”
Your fingers trailed the knife in fascination, you noticed the charms he added, they were terribly carved but you loved how much effort he put just for you.
“i tried to make it perfect... after a bunch of lessons with nefika and etuwa…. They were very patient with me! Luckily….”
You were too fascinated by the knife that teylans words only blurred, then you saw the arm band and gasped
“Favorite feathers yes!.. phew im glad you noticed”
He interrupted you chuckling nervously.
“Oh teylan it’s perfect!”
You hugged him, putting your arms around his neck, he chuckled as he hugged you back.
“Happy early…very early birthday my love.”
He said kissing your temple, you pulled away and grabbed his hand.
“Come on silly, let’s get to bed.”
(Ex: you guys left the brownies in the lab, Alex and priya found them and finished it, when your ACTUAL birthday came teylan got you everything and took you out to fly!
You did find so’lek one day and you decided to tell him about what Íley was doing, all he did was smile and shrug and say “Íley is good and loyal ikran he will always provide answers” you didn’t quite know what that meant but you chuckled, and went along with it anyways.)
You gently shook him, he then inhaled deeply through his nose and woke up.
He said his whole entire demeanor tired and exhausted,
You said your tone a joyful as you hid the brownies behind your back, he sighed and sat up trying to look behind you.
“And what is that so called something?”
His voice was teasing as he still made attempts to look behind you,
“Okay, okay I’ll show you!”
You laughed, he laughed along with you and he sat still, you pulled out behind you a tray of brownies, he was still smiling but his face also showed confusion and uncertainty.
He tried to keep a smile with his brows furrowed,
“It’s called brownies!.. Try one!”
His smile falters as his face started to look more serious when the food name sounded too ‘sky people language’, you only sat there still smiling confused and nervous.
He said his voice sounding warningly, your ears start facing backwards and your expression turns pensive and you try to find the right words.
“W-well! You know it’s just- sounded…well to make! Well not ‘well’ of course it just! Sounded appetizing, and fun…”
His expression turned scowl as his tailed swayed behind him.
“Sounds like something Mercer would spend his time, munching on while he watches us practice with guns”
Your hairless brows knit together as your facial expression saddens,
“I didn’t think it would be such a problem to make brownies…..”
You said your voice barely above a whisper, he only scoffed.
“It will always be a problem when it involves sky people junk…”
You kept your calm demeanor so you can settle the situation without snapping,
“Nor Mercer is dead i do not know why you still speak of him to this day, and besides one brownie wouldn’t.. hurt?”
You tried to sound convincing but Nor only rolled his eyes.
“Maybe if you were speaking like a true na’vi you’d say otherwise, but i see now.. you take the sky peoples side…”
Your ears pinned back and your tail starts swaying, as you exhale deeply through your noses,
“I’d rather eat insects than whatever this is”
Your eyebrows furrow, your eyes cold, he watches your facial expression not backing down because in reality he feared you.
You got up and left the kelku, he sat there confused and thinks that he might’ve been to rough until you came back 3 minutes later.
He smirked thinking nothing of you leaving the kelku, you only gave a sly smile and sighed heavily,
His smile falters and his brows furrow in confusion, you pulled out a kali’weya and set it down right in front of him.
You said your smile widening, he swallows deeply and looks at the dead kali’weya and back to you.
“you said so yourself!… you would rather eat insects than whatever this is, and now im not asking you to eat this oh no… your GOING…. To eat at least one of them.”
He exclaimed trying to make him the bigger person here, you pulled out a knife and slammed and stabbed it to the ground snarling.
“Or I’ll tell ri’nela about this, including the whole sarentu clan, INCLUDING so’lek, and add on extra details of how you have been shaming me about everything that sounds similar to sky people things, and i will cut that sarentu mark off right under your eye….”
He backed down immediately with his eyes widening, ears pinned back, but if he honest thats why he mated with you, because of your fire and toughness that would make you scary and menacing.
“Okay!…okay.. I’ll try the sky people food..”
He corrected himself immediately and picked up a piece of brownie and took a bite and he was immediately upset, not at the fact he took a bite of sky people food no, by the fact it was actually good and delicious.
He mumbled with shame reflecting his voice,
“See.. you judge before even trying..that is your issue, now if you mind… im going to bed and i expect you..to fix yourself in the morning with this sky people and Mercer crap…Got it?”
He nodded immediately, you then shifted yourself on the mat and lie down on your shoulder slowly falling asleep.
(Ex: he obeyed you and eased down on the Mercer and sky people things to everyone, it gotten to a point even the sarentu clan got concerned, including so’lek but he was mildly concerned, ri’nela went up to you to ask what happened to nor. You only shrugged and said ‘maybe he woke up realizing something’ before walking away)
