My sister, Maria Paula, a 4th year Forestry student in UPLB, is looking for assistance to fund her trip to Beijing, China for the Asia Pacific Forestry Week (APFW). Our family has been very supportive of her during her out of town trips in the Philippines. But when we were told of this one, we declined and told her that we can’t support the cost of her trip. Even so, we may not be able to fully support her financially, we have thought of helping her spreading out her message/request to anyone.
She has come up ways to raise money to buy her plain ticket by baking cupcakes and pastries. But still, it’s not enough; she needs extra to cover for her stay there and also she needs to eat while in China.
She’s pushing hard to make it happen. Knowing that it will be a good opportunity for her to learn more about forestry sciences through the different lectures prepared in the event. Moreover, a great avenue for her to gather and enlarge her network among future foresters of the region.

Today was another good trading session for Alumifuel Power Corp- AFPW, our profiled penny stock. This penny stock keeps on making nice progress with its current price per share. Since the company has come out of it’s ‘silence’ back in May 2011, the stock has been very liquid.
