Afric Simone - Hafanana (Remix 2016)

Quizá mi favorita del mozambiqueño Afric Simone, aunque no estoy seguro. “Tucanara (African Opera)” está muy bien, pero “Piranha” es más divertida. Un afortunado y cachondón cruce de afro-funk y glam rock setenteros con latigazo cutrelectrónico. 

Simone hacía una curiosa mezcla siempre ultracomercial, que en sus momentos más afortunados recuerda a T.Rex y en los más infames a Georgie Dann. Como este último, Afric Simone se caracterizaba por un incondicional optimismo vital refrendado seguramente por unos bolsillos bien llenos, que fenómeno. 

Como dice con claridad el estribillo de la canción: “Chachi- chachi piraña”. Bien.
