I mean, as I struggle to write this one, Just four days after watching #WHENTHEYSEEUS with my nephew; I can't help but question: WHY IS THE #BLACKMANWOMANANDCHILD A CONSTANT TARGET? How do you suppose we #HealTheBlackCommunity when #FLINTSTILLDOESNTHAVECLEANWATER, THE #PRISONINDUSTRIALCOMPLEX HAS BURIED US ALIVE, and #THEWARONDRUGS WAS WORSE THAN VIETNAM? How do you suppose we trust Lady Justice when her track record is reminiscent to a dope fiend's arms? But don't mind me, my mind state is WHEN WAS AMERICA GREAT? No, that was not rhetorical; Although metaphorical, #mypoemsarenotpoems, I really wanna know, I'll wait. If America was great, Would she bombard a woman's body and strip away #AWOMANSDECISION? If America was great, Would she cut school budgets and the guarantee occupancy of beds prison? When we gon' talk about the Secondary Traumatization of THE #WARONDRUGS or The Psychological Impact of Dead Presidents, Heroin, and Crack? O! Are we still supposed to act like it's not #CHEMICALWARFARE when #COINTELPRO, the FBI, CIA, and DEA flood Black Communities with heroin and crack?
