A Hero’s Heart
Damian Wayne had always lived in the shadow of his legacy. The son of Bruce Wayne, the grandson of Ra’s al Ghul, and the heir to the League of Assassins, Damian had known nothing but training, discipline, and expectations. But in the midst of Gotham's dark streets, there was a light that he couldn’t ignore.
Jonathan Kent. The son of Superman, the embodiment of hope, warmth, and power. Jonathan had everything that Damian didn’t: a normal upbringing, a family who cared for him, and an undeniable belief in the good of the world. Where Damian saw the world through a lens of cold realism, Jonathan saw it through an optimistic filter.
It wasn’t supposed to work. Damian’s brooding nature and Jonathan’s sunny disposition were a clash of worlds, a storm waiting to happen.
But that’s where it all started—at the Justice League Tower, a routine meeting turned into something neither of them could explain.
It was a simple thing at first. Jonathan had offered Damian a friendly smile while the group gathered for their mission briefing. Damian hadn’t thought much of it—after all, Jonathan was always overly enthusiastic, and Damian had always kept his distance from the younger heroes.
That was until the mission. A simple rescue turned complicated. Jonathan had been knocked out, and Damian had been forced to cover him, even though he’d been reluctant. At first, there was no acknowledgment of the moment. They did their jobs, as always. But something about the quiet after the fight was different. Damian couldn’t stop looking at Jonathan.
They were sitting side by side on a rooftop afterward, the chaos of the day dying down around them. Jonathan was nursing a cut on his cheek, and Damian’s usual icy stare softened for just a moment.
"You’re a good fighter," Jonathan said, breaking the silence, his voice carrying warmth that Damian couldn’t ignore.
Damian raised an eyebrow, his eyes narrowing. "I don't need your praise."
Jonathan smirked, brushing off the comment. "I wasn’t giving it to you, I was stating a fact."
Damian’s lips twitched. It wasn’t often someone had the nerve to speak to him like that, and it made something stir in his chest.
"I think..." Jonathan hesitated, his fingers brushing a lock of hair away from his face. "I think you’re more like me than you want to admit."
Damian scoffed, turning away to look out over the city. "You're wrong."
"I don’t think I am," Jonathan replied softly. He leaned closer, his shoulder brushing Damian's. "You push people away, but that doesn't mean you don’t care. It just means you don’t know how to let people in."
For a long moment, Damian didn’t answer. He could hear Jonathan’s heartbeat, the gentle pulse of someone who didn’t fear the world around them. It made his own heart feel like it was in turmoil, twisting with emotions he didn’t know how to name.
Finally, he spoke, his voice quieter than usual. "I don't know how to... trust anyone."
Jonathan smiled, that quiet, knowing smile that made something in Damian’s chest ache. "I can teach you," he said, his voice full of hope, yet something more—something softer. "But you have to want to let me in."
Damian met his gaze then, really meeting it, and for the first time, he saw Jonathan for everything he was: not just the son of Superman, but a person—a person who understood him in ways no one ever had.
Damian couldn’t explain it, but in that moment, he knew that Jonathan Kent was the one thing in his life that might just be worth fighting for.

''This is why you are going to be perfect.'' Death almost croons, making Harry blush. ''If you're going with me to train, you will be back in no time. Time travels differently in my realm.''
Harry nods. He suspected something like that. ''Then I will go with you to train. It is only fair. The others are older and have more experience.''
''Harry, no!'' Dumbledore exclaims, but Harry knows it is too late. Death is already grasping his arm, and then everything turns dark around him.
Some gumrob :) ♥
Aged-up character designs for Max and Isaac. They’re late high school- early college age here. I like to think that Isaac’s anime tastes will mature and he starts getting into old and obscure stuff, and Max gets into body mods and tattoos. Said tattoo designs are based off events that happened to him in the comic.
Commission for Wolf Cub and their Tiefling Creedence! I was asked to design an aged-up version of this character and I was allowed to explore a few things c: I don't get to make reference sheets often, but I do enjoy making them! What I don't enjoy is when I have to start doing layout simply because I'm pretty terrible at it quq. Someday I'll get better. I've also realized that my current water mark won't work for reference sheets....so here's to figuring that out next time too.
My preliminary design of teenage Mabel and Dipper!
I like the idea of Mabel changing her hairstyle, also I’m pretty sure she would wear a lot of self-made jewellery.
Dipper would always wear several layers of clothing with lots of pockets for sure. Also, I drew him with pierced ears because he’d look awesome with some small dark earrings.
