What's your opinion on Upgraded Agents?
Interesting question!!🙌🎀💞
You know, I'm very sincere when I say this, but the upgraded agents didn't get to me as characters, the poor guys🤲 I think it was on purpose to make them even less 'human' than the original agents, even less diverse and much more focused on acting like the killing machines they were supposed to be. Which yeah, made sense after Smith was defeated as an agent, and instantly, that made Brown and Jones seem even more inferior and flawed than him.
A thing I always liked to believe in is that the codes for Brown and Jones were somehow recycled to create the new agents. A sign of a possible continuity would be, in my opinion, Agent Johnson. Because first of all, hmm, his name doesn't remind us of someone else's? Fun fact at first, I even tended to believe that Agent Jones was, in fact, named Johnson, and that it was the same guy in the 2nd movie, too. And the second one after Smith, Jones was the most combat oriented agent, just like Johnson is seen to be. They lowkey look similar, too!
I am sad about the fact that the upgraded agents didn't have the connections and interactions the og ones had, which let's be real, even those were a few 🤲🤲 But yeah, the theory that perhaps the older agents have been recycled and remade into the upgraded ones is a theory I like to stick with🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️
