How come we don't see more Star Wars fics include animals with the Agricorps? I've seen plenty of fics that reference Obi-Wan's strength in the Cosmic Force (and associated implied weakness in the Living Force) as a reason why he wouldn't be good as "a farmer", but we see Obi-Wan be good with animals multiple times in canon. (Boga in Episode III, Beast Control on the gutkerrs in the Ryloth episode of Clone Wars, etc) Horse-girl Obi-Wan is just sitting there waiting for us!

fic about an agricorps jedi who spent their entire career after training working to save an endangered species on Humbarine or one of the other planets that gets bombed to shit and then they survive order 66 and discover the war was an inside job and they are livid

they band together with some archivists and other corps jedi and a few freed clones to break into the temple and steal a time travel artefact and obliterate palps and his agenda from the galaxy

Much as I'm not particularly enamored of the concept myself (I think there are better ways to solve the world building issues it seems to have been create to address) the Jedi Service Corps would be a perfectly fine little idea if people could stop acting so fucking weird about it all the time

I would die for a Star Wars something strongly involving the Jedi Corps. Just, some slices of live from the AgriCorps being plant nerds and a Master showing a “washout” youngling that their duties are no less important than those of the knights. Exasperated MediCorps members trying to deal with younglings and suppossed adults (and bonding with Cody over keeping Obi-wan alive). Children getting an unexpected new  EduCorps teacher and marveling at how different this one is from previous teachers. And ExploraCorps - what is not to love about ExploraCorps?! Going beyond the known galaxy, mapping new stars. You could make a complete show of that alone. After all the majority of Jedi are actually Corps members, not knights.

121. due to a miscommunication, Obi-wan doesn't go to the Agricorps farm planet. Instead, he's picked up by an explorer corps Jedi that promptly whisks him off to go on an adventure in the unknown regions of the outer rim.

The Jedi AgriCorps sounds great, yet get's lots of negative comments.

Why is it depicted as the lesser work?

Building up communities, supporting those in need on a long-term basis, putting 1 on the line and living the live of the common people.

Sounds like the actual work the Jedi where supposed to do. Having a saber is nice but helping others to be self-reliant and empowered makes much more sense.
