bad stargate idea

149. it's entirely possible to send items from larger Stargates to smaller ones but requires a lot of power as the puddle on the other side is forced to balloon out away from the Stargate ring and then expand to the appropriate size and will cause damage to anything in the way of that expansion in the process.

The newbie refills the tankard of bloodwine in front of the battle-scarred Klingon system admin, dreaming about how many disasters his federation ship could've avoided if he'd just be allowed to do the same.

148. the Jedi never actually had a restriction on marriage originally, it was all a misunderstanding because Jedi Knight Si-Rius Ne'tra the notorious philanderer was constantly falling into beds across the galaxy and then using the "I'm sorry I've taken a vow as part of my knighthood and cannot be married, I'm married to the force." the few padawans he had didn't quite understand and from them the policy against marriage and attachment eventually found a seat on the high council and spread to the rest of the order. on the other hand, Knight Ne'tra single-handedly raised the Jedi population galaxy wide by 5%.

147. All those stone doorways that go nowhere? Enchanted wizard expanded space, they just take that 2 inches of depth from the sill edge to the stone backing and expanded it well beyond all reason and then expanded again inside to make it a room instead of just a really long tunnel/hallway.

"Hermione, darling," Death started only to dodge again as a bolt of yellow splashed against the back of his chair beginning to dissolve the back of it. Death waved a hand and the chair and wall behind restored themselves.

"How many times," Hermione started, "Ten? a Hundred? How am I supposed to help that brainless idiot reach his destiny when everyone seems to actively be working against that goal. We survived an extra three years after his death this time."

144. there's a contingency order for the end of the war that wipes the entire list of contingency orders… it's order zero. Telling a clone to Execute order zero basically causes the chip to shut down and no longer accept any orders.

The jedi get the publicly acceptable list of orders that includes general order zero and as part of their investigation issue order zero, cause it's the first one on the list and they have concerns that there might be some kind of mind control chip that would enforce the orders so they test things out.

General order Zero of course works perfectly and makes it so none of the remaining orders actually do anything other than serving as a short hand for directing the clones in the field.

143. the archivist responsible for the Jedi computer systems was on some really crazy force shenanigans when they designed the system… it somehow has the security codes for every jedi member ever but only while that jedi member is on this side of the force. So if a Jedi time travels somehow, and they just happen to be on the council and in good standing when they travel their codes follow them to their new time period. The codes are invalidated by the force the moment the Jedi in question is no longer on this side of the force or when they've been moved in time. the force knows and somehow updates the system.

142. Qui-gon Jinn definitely hears the force all the time, it's rather loud actually, and it's persistent. But Jinn's problem is he's got very selective hearing and a massive failure to correctly interpret things…

The force has been yelling at him for years to just "stop it, already" it's got an ongoing mantra of "Stop, Stop, Stop" on repeat as loud as it possibly can get.

The force realy wants Jin to stop trying to help, stop being an idiot, and stop thinking he knows the will of the force, it'd really like him to stop avoiding the healers and actually schedule that mind-healer visit, and get some therapy for all his issues. The problem is Jinn only ever interprets the command to stop as a directive for action to stop other things like, stop that war or stop that padawan from becoming his padawan (admittedly the force actually agreed with that one it was rather partial to the idea of Plo being Obi-Wan's master.) and Stop trying to make Xanatos a jedi…

Palpatine gets poisoned with something that blocks force use and makes him seem senile unfortunately he's not in his lab at the time where he could simply use some passive sith alchemy to whip up an antidote, so he's quickly discovered by senate staff and shipped off to a Nabooian secure home for the senile.

"Yes yes uncle Sheev, you're a powerful sith now eat your carrots."

140. The Jedi council decide that Jinn is on restriction due to some unmentioned event you can determine at a later date and he isn't allowed to take Xanatos as his Padawan because he's showing some dangerous signs of attachment to the boy. Jinn suddenly decides that Dooku is his only hope of Xanatos being trained to be a Jedi like he feels the force is telling him Xanatos should be.

Xanatos being trained by Dooku results in an actual functioning Jedi instead of that mess that Jinn raised.
