#Repost @thebadassbreastfeeder (@get_repost) ・・・ @twinmamadiaries ・・・ ‘Breastfeeding is normal, natural, healthy and need not be hidden, disguised, explained or apologized’ - Michelle Hottya I’m sharing this because earlier in the week, I went into a public bathroom and witnessed a mother sitting on a toilet breastfeeding her baby. I was shocked and felt an immense sense of sadness that this poor woman felt the need to hide in public bathrooms to feed her baby. I explained to her that I’m also a Mum and offered to sit outside with her to breastfeed, in the hopes of showing a little support. Her response? ‘Thanks, but I would rather do it here. At least I won’t get looks of disgust from strangers.’ All I can say is, shaming mothers for breastfeeding in public is not only unnecessary, it’s cruel. As if breastfeeding isn’t challenging enough, without the judgement and scrutiny that comes along with it? From complete strangers no less? I think we all need to judge less and show a little more acceptance. And if breastfeeding in public does happen to bother you? That’s your opinion and you have a right to it. However, it’s not your right to judge and put shame upon those that do 🤱 Be kind people! ✌🏼 . . . . . . #breastfeeding #motherhood #babiesofig #normalizebreastfeeding #fedisbest #breastfeedingmama #breastfedbaby #babiesofinstagram #newborntwins #newborn #babiesofig #childofig #childofig #motherhoodrising #supportbreastfeeding #momlife #womenempowerment #mumlife #empowerment #newbornbaby #darlingmovement #simplymamahood #kindnessmovement #babyboy #babygirl #parenting #honestmotherhood #uniteinmotherhood #aheadofthecurve
