Trans Health Safety Tip.
When you are going in for testing of some kind, such as hormones, blood tests, thyroid tests, tests for STDs or various other things, it is best to inform them of your transgender status. Bio males and bio females tend to have different things and different levels that are looked for.
Even when applying for your healthcare, it is best to put your biological gender, as much as it probably hurts (I hate to say it, but man the fuck up, kiddies, no seriously), but it will put you better off when seeking care, if you can find a trans-friendly healthcare provider (it's extremely possible (and I am sure, fairly easy), use google, asking google is better than asking Jesus).
Putting your "biological sex" as male on something as that can cause a lot of problems in the long run, because while you are transitioning, you body still has female parts (or male parts, if you are mtf) that you need to take care of, such as normal check ups and various things to make sure that you are in your top running condition. And as being transgender is a medical condition, it is treated different from biological males to biological females. You don't want to confuse the hell out of your doctor, they already have a hard enough job. And if you ignore your natural plumbing and shit gets f'd up, then you and your doctor may have a long, hard road ahead of you.
You may be a transmale, but you can't ignore your plumbing or what your body does naturally. Same with a transwoman. And if you are genderqueer, just mark your goddamn biological sex, too. You may go by ze/hir/zir or it, but don't make everyone else's lives harder with that on paper. Until "other" becomes a thing on the paperwork, just save the insurance company some time, and what will eventually be your money going into it, too.
...I completely forgot about some RP I made up a while ago with a cult that worshiped the Selnderman...
Why, oh why did that RP never kick off? I could've had such great nightmares...
Please reblog if you know someone, or have heard of someone who knows someone that may know someone or knows anyone. If you don't know anyone, or even if you've heard of anyone who doesn't know anyone, then still copy this. It's important to spread the message. Oh, and the hearts. ♥ ♥ Don't forget the hearts. ♥ ♥
