Scholarship Opportunaty for Transgender Students!
The Transgender Scholarship and Education Legacy Fund for Transgender Identified Students
Usually I don't reblog stuff like this, but money is a huge things for trans people, and so are scholarships.
i did a thing
“No.”
From this page, via the FBI. Just so you know, rape culture exists for men too. Except it’s not just culture, it’s written law.
Trans Health Safety Tip.
When you are going in for testing of some kind, such as hormones, blood tests, thyroid tests, tests for STDs or various other things, it is best to inform them of your transgender status. Bio males and bio females tend to have different things and different levels that are looked for.
Even when applying for your healthcare, it is best to put your biological gender, as much as it probably hurts (I hate to say it, but man the fuck up, kiddies, no seriously), but it will put you better off when seeking care, if you can find a trans-friendly healthcare provider (it's extremely possible (and I am sure, fairly easy), use google, asking google is better than asking Jesus).
Putting your "biological sex" as male on something as that can cause a lot of problems in the long run, because while you are transitioning, you body still has female parts (or male parts, if you are mtf) that you need to take care of, such as normal check ups and various things to make sure that you are in your top running condition. And as being transgender is a medical condition, it is treated different from biological males to biological females. You don't want to confuse the hell out of your doctor, they already have a hard enough job. And if you ignore your natural plumbing and shit gets f'd up, then you and your doctor may have a long, hard road ahead of you.
You may be a transmale, but you can't ignore your plumbing or what your body does naturally. Same with a transwoman. And if you are genderqueer, just mark your goddamn biological sex, too. You may go by ze/hir/zir or it, but don't make everyone else's lives harder with that on paper. Until "other" becomes a thing on the paperwork, just save the insurance company some time, and what will eventually be your money going into it, too.
If you are a transmale that hooks up with another transmale for sex or a relation, you are still gay (or bi, or whatever the fuck you are), not straight or a lesbian.
It's simple.
At the University of Lethbridge, once again.
5:15 AKA Rush Hour bus.
Sigh.
This is the rushhour?
Where the eff do you live? I live in a rather small town and in the middle of the night there are more people on the bus. oO
Not the original poster, but I live here and it’s 80k people. Shit is never crowded and there’s never even traffic jams here.
Fuck, I wish my rush hour looked like that. Half the time you can't even get on the bus because of how packed everything is (mind you, these are people packed in like sardines with barely any breathing room).
There is space on that bus to stretch your legs. People are getting far too bitchy.
Haha, so, Ryan Cassata was apparently at one of my college's several campuses.
I don't know whether to laugh, or just be really, really, really glad that it wasn't my campus.
Testosterone Tip #2
Often when taking testosterone for a long period of time, the skin and the area tends to get hard. A common mistake is to just take the injection in the same spot, over and over again. That can cause the area to become less than favorable when taking the injections.
Mapping out shots can help quite a bit with making the injections easier. Whether you take your shots weekly or every other week, moving down your legs in a criss-cross pattern helps to alleviate some issues of the injection site being used too much. Keeping a piece of paper with your testosterone/needles with these marked down on it can be helpful.
Injections, because they are intramuscular, can also be taken in the butt or in your calf. I don't recommend doing it this way without asking your doctor first, but because they are a muscle prominent area, if can be helpful when your legs need a rest.
Trans T Tip # 1
I'm pretty sure that this is something that a lot of guys don't think about, but when you start testosterone, you're going to start to smell more and you'll smell different. So that means showering more and using a lot more deodorant. Your body is undergoing huge chemical and hormonal changes, so it's going to show (and smell).
Don't be "that guy" and user proper hygiene!
#UnicornphobiaNeedsToStop. Trend it, Worldwide. This is the message we need to spread.
Well, anon, I like the way you think.
Well. I have something that I need to tell y'all.

Sorry that I'm not sorry.
So how do you guys feel about transgender males/females staying “undercover” once they start passing.
I’ve been thinking about just saying I’m guy and that’s it. Not saying I’m transgender anymore unless I have to.
Also how you guys feel about hiding in a...
Binding tip #4
Just putting on a binder isn't often enough when trying to make your chest look more masculine. Chest sculpting (moving the breasts around in the binder to make them appear more like a male chest, with tucking and placement) is often needed to help get that affect. It can make a large difference of looking like you have breasts to looking like you just have simple man lumps.
Binding tip #3.
Sometimes sleeping in a binder is an unwanted necessity, whether you live in a male-dorm or with people that do not know you are trans or for various other reasons (I had to do that when visiting a friend in college or when my roommate had his male friends over my freshman year).
Sleeping in a tight binder can be dangerous to your rib cage, as well as to your lungs (and it greatly reduces your breathing capacity). If you have a loose/old binder, they are much safer for binding in, for the exact reason, because they do not bind as well. It is natural for men to have some pectoral muscle/bump unless someone is super, super skinny (in which a male would be flat chested), so something small like that, layered under a shirt or two (make sure they are loose, as the tighter a shirt is, the more it shows), would look just like a normal male chest.
And I'm pretty sure that binding in ace wrap when you sleep is a good way to puncture a lung. Just don't do it.
Sorry guys for not keeping this blog super up to date within the past week. I now work full time, so my interbutts allowance is now greatly reduced because I have an asshole boss that gives me the shittiest hours.
However, I haven't forsaken you, my followers, and might possibly have a post up soon as a continuation of my binding tips series.
