I love that Kanan was like, “naw babe. We’re trying to find our stolen goods, so take our thieving ass kid instead.” Bestie literally could have just told her he wanted to go alone 😂😭 Poor Ezra

I noticed your headcanons for Ezra having ADHD and how when Ezra is excited/following the dopamine he reminds Kanan of himself. Does that mean Kanan is too or did I read to far into that 😄
*looks up from Kanan comics* Kanan also has undiagnosed ADHD but he has Hera to help. Kanan also writes a million reminders so he doesn’t forget the thing.
So choices usually only have power if people go along with them. Since I think the choice is dumb I’m not going along with it. Why should I respect Disney’s choices about what’s canon and what’s not? I don’t care what they think. I’m gonna cherry-pick any and all material for what brings me joy thank you very much.
Anyway the Kanan comics are canon and those first few minutes in TBB are not 😁
finally found vol 1 of the kanan comics for just $19!! thriftbooks my beloved i owe you my life
There’s not a lot of variation in how Jedi kids dress but there is some, so they seem to have some degree of control over their wardrobe (different cuts, different base and accent colours, etc. It’s all brown and beige and white but there are differences)
(And as we know from Ahsoka and Aayla and so on there’s not really rules about how you can dress, but I’m talking about the smaller kids)
Anyways, I think these three kids were deliberately imitating Anakin here.
The idea of little kids dressing up like Anakin because he’s so cool is just a great mix of adorable and heartbreaking and darkly funny
i mean, the bad batch was fine and all, i’m just disappointed that kanan’s backstory was pretty much retconned. the kanan comic really brought a lot of insight to his character when it came out, and i’m just wondering how else the bad batch will change his backstory in the next few episodes.
so far, i feel like the comic did a better job of depicting the chaos of order 66; it took place under the cover of night, when the jedi and clones were resting so depa and kanan were vulnerable, and the choppy panels really enhanced the frenzied rush of it all so you could really get a sense of how little the jedi expected the attack. instead, in the bad batch, order 66 happened in the day, when they were fresh out of a battle, and the camera work was too steady to portray the complete disarray of it all.
i don’t know. i just really liked the kanan comic and i’m sad it’s not canon anymore.
Along with all the more important things we knew going in, the Bad Batch is also messing with continuity and the Kanan comic. With the Ahsoka novel flashbacks I get, they were both adapting the same concept. But for this, while I'd have to reread the comic to be sure, it seems like all it would take are some rearrangements to have the Bad Batch slip in and out of the order 66 scene from the comic and accomplish the same story beats. The least they could have done was copy the armor patterns of Bilaba's legion from the comics so Commander/Captain Grey still looked the same and we could pick Styles out from the crowd.
I guess the Kanan comics are no longer canon... At least for Caleb Dume's story. I hate when they deviate so much from story that is already established.
