Moula Abbas [a.s] delivered a glorious sermon on the 8th of Zil Hajj

In just a few lines Moula Abbas [a.s] summarizes the reality of Ahlul-Bayt [a.s] along with the reality of the enemies [la] of Ahlul-Bayt [a.s].

Moula Abbas [a.s] delivered this sermon on the roof of the Kaabah when Imam Hussain [a.s] was departing from Makkah on the 8th of Zil Hajj 60 AH to go towards Karbala.

All praise is for Allah who honored Baitullah (house of Allah) with the arrival  of the Father [Moula Imam Ali (a.s)] of My Master Imam Hussain [a.s]. This house was nothing more than a house of stone before the appearance of Ameer ul Momineen [a.s]. After  Ameer ul Momineen [a.s] appeared in the Kaabah, then it became the Qiblah.

O’ wretched kafirs and oppressors! You are not allowing the Imam [a.s] of the pious to visit the Kaabah. The one who has the most right to do so. If it was not for the command of Allah and not for the unseen mysteries of Allah and if Allah had not willed that His creation would be tested, then this Kaabah would have uprooted itself and flown to My Master, but My Moula [a.s] came here Himself and honored the Kaabah.

Verily,  people  kiss  Hajr e Aswad (black  stone) and Hajr e Aswad kisses the hands of My  Moula [a.s]. The will of Allah is the will of My Moula [a.s]. The will of My Moula [a.s] is the will of My Allah. I swear by Allah if it were not for this, then I would have attacked you the way the eagle attacks the sparrows. I would have cut you into pieces. Are you trying to compete with those who played with death during  their childhood? Imagine! How brave must they be to do such a thing in their youth. May Allah sacrifice me upon My Moula [a.s] who is the Master of the entire universe.

O’ people! What has happened to your intellect? Do you not recognize what is the difference between the family of the Prophet [s.a.w.w] and the family of yazid (la)? On one side is the family of yazid (la) who drinks alcohol and on the other side is the Master and Owner of the Pool of Kauthar. On one side are people whose house is the incarnation of evil and impurity and on the other side are those who are the incarnation of purity  and They are the owners of revelation and Quran.

You are repeating the same mistakes that the Quraish committed. They planned to kill Rasool Allah [s.a.w.w] and you are planning to kill the Son of Rasool Allah [s.a.w.w]. The Quraish were not successful in their evil schemes because they could not overcome Ameer ul Momineen [a.s]. Now how can it be possible  for you to kill Abu  Abdullah al Hussain [a.s] when the Son of That Ali [a.s] is  the protector of the Son of Rasool Allah (saw)?

If you have the courage, then come and try  to kill Me. Then you will be able  to fulfill your  evil desires. I swear by Allah as long as I am alive you will never be successful. May Allah send His wrath upon you, your  forefathers, and your  offspring!  May Allah curse you, your  forefathers, and your offspring!

Bewatan/Homeless

Last year,

and every year,

since many years.

A homeless,

brought us to our homes- our watan.

Zuljanah, Alam, Taziyah, Taboot-

a circle of the holy lamentation

with voice soaring,

hearts ablaze,

hair scattered,

pearls cascaded down the cheeks.

Gol Kothi, Laal Kothi, Najm Manzil, Haji Sahab, Patthar Taley, Hussainiyah, Khan Sahab-

clothed in black,

lips parched,

we cried-

"Wavaila sadd wavaila!"

On each farsh,

in each aza,

the gham erupted,

ripples created- Ya Hussain, Ya Hussain.

This year-

I survive,

with memory of bygone.

Having lost,

I have cried for my blood.

This year,

I lament not

just your

Shahadat.

I cry upon your-

ghurbat

your loneliness

your longing for home

your broken heart

your Sughra

your loss of love

your heaving breath-

after the death of your beloveds.

Oh, Aba Abdillah!

I cry

this year-

for your homelessness.

In the battle of Khaybar, the Prophet ﷺ announced, 'Tomorrow, I shall give the flag to a man who Allah and His Messenger ﷺ love. And Allah will grant us victory at his hands." All the Companions remained anxious that night hoping that they could be that man. In the morning, they all stood to see who that person could be. The Prophet ﷺ stood and asked, "Where is 'Ali ibn Abi Talib." At that particular time, he was suffering from an eye ailment so the Prophet ﷺ wiped his noble saliva in the eyes of Sayyiduna Ali and he was immediately cured.

He then went on to rip off the iron door from the Fortresses of Khaybar with his own blessed hands and threw it. The Muslims then penetrated and were granted victory. Imam Hakim and Bayhaqi mention that 40 men were later unable to carry that same tomorrow.

The poet said that Khaybar still shakes out of awe when hearing the name of Sayyiduna 'Ali. Honouring and loving our Master 'Ali is the sign of being a believer. Reviling him, refusing to praise him, disliking his mention, and attempting to sideline him is the sign of the hypocrites. The love of the Ahl al-Bayt and their remembrance must be in each and every Sunni home. I can never understand people who proudly mention the merits of their own lineages, parents, and families but refuse to ever speak about the one was praised by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. You cannot love the Prophet ﷺ without loving Sayyiduna Ali. رضي الله عنه
