All right this is growing into a bigger thing than expected, there will be a part three you guys! ;)
You hadn’t heard of or seen Cordelia in seven years. You had become a more reclusive member of society, deciding to go live in the woods. Away from people, away from any that could want to harm or hurt you.
You only came into the town close to you if you absolutely needed some supplies. You were known as the kind but kind of strange woman. They always came to you for remedies when the doctors couldn’t help them though, so most of the people in the town connected to the woods knew to just let you be and not really say much of anything.
Your hairless black cat called Pandora was enough of a companion for you.
That was until Cordelia appeared on your doorstep. You hadn’t expected anyone, and normally Pandora would alert you to anyone that tried to come close to your little house.
Delia was softly scratching behind Pandora’s ear and you understood why she hadn’t alerted you. Cordelia was distracted so you cleared your voice to let her know you saw her.
She straightened immediately. She seemed stiff, there was something wrong about her demeanour. She didn’t seem herself, but then she hadn’t seemed herself in years. But this was a different tension.
“I left Hank. He- He did something terrible and I didn’t know who else to turn to right now.” She rushed out and you could see the tears that were starting to brim in her eyes. threatening to roll down her cheeks.
You didn’t hesitate one second and you let her in, closed the door behind her and you hugged her tight. “I’m sorry you only found out now, honey.” You whispered softly. You had warned her before, but she hadn’t heeded your advise.
You felt her body softly shake with sobs and you just held her even tighter, as she clung to you, her hands clutching the fabric of your black dress. After a long few minutes of comforting her, you sat her down on a chair and brewed some calming tea for her, whispered a soft calming spell into the liquid as well before serving her.
You two had a long talk. About what had happened since you had walked out of the wedding and out of the life of your best friend, and only person you’d probably ever love.
She left after a few hours, feeling relieved and promising to come back soon, with the offer of bringing her notebook with her with a few new spells she had discovered.
You two built up your friendship again, something that made you feel better and better. It apparently made your magic stronger too, because just walking around your self made garden made all the flowers bloom and the plants grow. You smiled and after a few weeks of these visits you decided that it was time to go back to the academy, where it all began.
these few weeks you had been growing closer. You had talked about the past, about why she pulled back from you and your friendship after that kiss. That she had been afraid and so sure that liking a girl was wrong. It was after a shy kiss of her lips on your cheek that she was able to persuade you to leave your little forest and visit the academy.
On your way there you felt like you were being followed, but you just attributed it to not having been in traffic and around people like this in a long, long time.
Only you should have really trusted your gut feeling on this. Because when hands grabbed you from behind and dragged you into a van, you cursed the fact that you hadn’t been more careful.
You were knocked out before you could do any spells and you woke up with your hands and feet chained, your mouth gagged and your protective charms ripped off. You felt almost naked without them.
your vision slowly swam back into view, and when you saw who did this, you wished you had never opened your eyes. Fucking Hank. Of course it was Hank. He had probably been watching Cordelia’s comings and goings form the moment she kicked him out of the house.
First he just asked questions. A lot of them. So many that your ear began ringing. It was all becoming a bit of a blur. That was until he brought out a beaker with some clear liquid in it. Was he going to give you some water?
You quickly found out what it was as he poured a little of it over your bare leg and you cried out in agony...
