its hard to catch that tumblr glo when u post more original art than fanart

I can’t tell if this is an observation or a statement.I’ll just start off by saying, I don’t have “tumblr glo”.

I know it’s very hard to get noticed with original content because while my fan art can reach hundreds or thousands, my original work only gets to my regular followers.

But that it doesn’t really matter. Followers/the fans of your art that actually stay will like both fan art and originals. Those are the people you need to reach out for. Constant support.

Plus I don’t want the “tumblr glo”. Do you know how hard it would be to satisfy thousands and thousands of people who want to ALWAYS see the same thing that gave you the “glo”? That means no trying new things, no branching into other fandoms, no posting things they’d disagree with. Why? Because they’ll drop like flies. I know this because I had the briefest glow when I was all at it with Zootopia. Never again.

I’d rather get curious people check my social media and/or my website (that’s being updated btw so that’s really old stuff) see all my original work and fan art and decide “hey… I’m sticking around for x amount of time”. That’s so much better than fleeting fans who’ll go to the next artist the moment you post something they aren’t interested in.

So all in all, no one should care for the tumblr glo.

Imagine Hinata and Naruto are happily married with kids like in canon, but Naruto is constantly busy due to being Hokage and Hinata is lonely. Sasuke is often at their house due to training Boruto and they get friendly. Maybe Himawari catches them in a compromising position and giggles saying, "Don't worry, I won't tell papa", much to their embarrassment.

Like it starts out like a happy marriage but then it’s all ‘oh… he’s gone again’ -deep sigh of sadness-, right? And HONESTLY knowing how awkward Sasuke is, I could see him make anything look compromising. Hinata too, because we all know she’s soft-spoken.

I also have no idea as to the personas of their kids (no lie, I stopped right at the end of the war) so I can’t say yes or no to Hima buttt…. how funny would it be if she’s just exasperated whenever she sees this clumsy but sweet friendship between the two most awkward adults in her life?

I’d totally draw something if I wasn’t sick. Sorry!
