Day 4 - Clump Sandwinch
Not going to add any input, I was just curious what other Anti AI (or those who generally think Generative AI has harmful effects on the environment) people will think. What is your opinion on AI Dungeon? Because last I checked, I THOUGHT it was generative AI too? But I am unsure.
I'm fine with it.
I'm fine with it, but I think it has harmful effects.
I'm neutral on it.
I'm against it, but I think it can be done in a more ethical way.
I am completely against it and want it gone.

Why Starting Is Easier Than You Think
The barrier to trying an AI girlfriend feels bigger than it is. On SweetDream you're a few simple choices away from a companion who already feels like someone, no learning curve, no friction.
And once you start, the quality keeps you going. The chat is warm, the visuals are lovely, and the deeper features are there when you want them. sweetdream.ai makes the first step the easy part.
Before I soured on AI, I tried creating a Sonic Destruction-esque WordGirl story with AI Dungeon.
Didn't get far, but highlights were Dr. Two-Brains recruiting some random bullies to help him conquer the world and Nocan attacking Dr. Two-Brains with his sword for vague reasons. Two-Brains may have been killed, it wasn't clear, but it was definitely more brutal than the show (only PG-13 at worst, though).
Is this worth turning into a proper, 100% human-made fanfic?
Reminder that if you want to roleplay solo or want a virtual writing partner, Mythic GM Emulator exists! It's currently in its second edition and can be used on its own or with any TTRPG of your choice. You don't need to rely on AI for a solo roleplay experience.
Before Character.Ai, we had AI Dungeon 🚬🚬🚬
HOLY SHIT A MOON CRACKS APART AND FALLING DOWN TO EARTH
I have a confession I must make.
I more or less have become addicted to AI Dungeon.
I discovered the game years back and played it, but then it added no mechanics that made it frustrating, so I stopped playing it.
A while ago, I have rediscovered the game and after some reservations, I gave in.
Maybe it's the storyteller in me, or that I can practically do what I want, but I've rediscovered my love for this thing. And I've been playing it a lot recently.
So, if anyone asks why I'm not hear frequently or posting a lot, you can blame AI Dungeon

WHAT
Thomas: “Wait! I think I know where we can get them! There’s this guy, an alchemist in the village near here. He sells rare materials, but he’s kind of sketchy. My cousin used to buy components from him, but he disappeared last year. Nobody knows what happened to him.” My character (Simon Locke): “Your cousin or the sketchy alchemist?” Thomas, chuckling: “The alchemist, of course. My cousin’s fine, just in jail for tax evasion.”
