After dinner, we proceeded to the basement level to do some grocery shopping. On the way out, we bought desserts at Nine Fresh (九鲜). I chose the Jellicious Cup (蜂蜜寒天三合一) with bean curd, grass jelly, ai-yu jelly, honey popping jelly, kantan jelly and taro balls. Mum had the Black Sugar Ai-Yu Jelly (招牌黑糖爱玉冻) with red bean, black pearl, milk ball and taro balls. Both cups of dessert cost S$3.80 each.
Nine Fresh (九鲜) is promoting a series of White Peach Ai-Yu desserts for the month of May. Let’s ap-peach-iate the little joys in life, because life’s a peach! As usual, it comes in three peachy combinations to choose from.
My White Peach Ai-Yu A (荔枝蒟蒻白桃爰玉仙草冻) comes with half each of white peach ai-yu jelly and grass jelly, topped with canned lychee (2 pcs), konjac jelly and taro balls (8pcs). Mum had the White Peach Ai-Yu C (柚子椰果白桃爰玉冻) with white peach ai-yu jelly, yuzu pearl jelly, nata de coco and taro balls (6 pcs) plus an addon of sweetened red beans (S$0.70). However, the white peach flavoured ai-yu is more subtle than last month’s Mango Passion Ai-Yu which I much preferred.

For the month of September 2025, Nine Fresh (九鲜) has a Champagne Grape Ai-Yu (香槟葡萄爱玉) promotion. As usual, the company had prepared three desserts, each with a different set of toppings. Also, in conjunction with their 13th anniversary, there is another promotion whereby you get to buy three desserts for only S$9.90. Even better is you are allowed to top up an additional dollar to upgrade to their seasonal desserts. So, I bought three cups of desserts including one of the Champagne Grape 🍇 Ai-Yu. Ended up the staff charged me S$12.10 which doesn’t seem to be the discounted price. 🤔
I chose the Champagne Grape Ai-Yu A (香槟葡萄爱玉) which included the grape ai-yu, grape kantan, lychee, nata Q and taro balls. As the stall had ran out of grape kantan, they replaced it with Mandarin orange jelly. The champagne grape 🍇 ai-yu isn’t intense enough so if you eat it with the other toppings, the grape flavour gets overwhelmed. As for the other two cups of dessert, I got the Grass Jelly Special (黑糖芦荟仙草冻) with optional sweetened red beans (S$2.90 + S$0.70 per cup) added. After making payment, the staff handed me a paper lantern.🏮

The month of April sees Nine Fresh (九鲜) bringing back an old seasonal favourite, the Mango Passion Ai-Yu desserts with new combinations and the same mango-nificient flavour that makes your taste buds dance a little tango!
I picked Mango Passion A (黑糖薏仁爆珠百香寒天) and it comes with mango passion ai-yu jelly, mango passion kantan, barley popping jelly, black sugar jelly dice and taro balls. Mum took the Mango Passion C (蒟蒻百香寒天) and she ask for added sweetened red beans (+S$0.70) in addition to the mango passion ai-yu jelly, mango passion kantan, konjac jelly and taro balls.

We dine out most weekends since mum like to visit the local supermarket for some grocery shopping. As per the usual, I will check out Nine Fresh (九鲜) to see what promotion they have for the current month. They have brought back the Lychee Red Tea Ai-Yu Jelly promotion plus new Tang Yuan (汤圆) selections.
I took Lychee Tea Ai-Yu A (荔枝红茶爱玉冻) which comes with lychee tea ai-yu, konjac jelly, black pearl and taro balls. Somehow my tastebuds think the lychee tea ai-yu tasted more floral than the actual fruit. Mum’s Fruity Ai-Yu Jelly (水果晶球爱玉冻) has aloe vera pearl jelly, mango pearl jelly, konjac jelly, milk ball and taro balls. Plus, I asked for sweetened red beans to be added so the price is S$3.80 + S$0.70.

For the month of Chinese New Year, Nine Fresh (九鲜) came up with Ong Lai 🍍 (Pineapple) Ai-Yu jelly series of desserts. Out of the three items, I picked the most expensive Pine-sperity Cup (寒天马蹄爆珠杯) at S$4.20. Comes with the mentioned pineapple ai-yu, grass jelly, water chestnut popping jelly, kantan jelly and taro balls. The chestnut popping jelly is a nice surprise with a crisp cube of water chestnut within the popping pearl. Their poster shows that it comes in a pastel pink colour but in my dessert, they are white though. :(
For mum, she wanted grass jelly so I got her the usual Grass Jelly Special (黑糖芦荟仙草冻) with optional sweetened red beans (S$2.90 + S$0.70) added. The standard toppings include aloe vera pearl jelly, black sugar jelly dice, milk ball and taro balls. Noticed that the yam balls are now much flatter than usual. Cost cutting, maybe?

For the month of October 2024, Nine Fresh (九鲜) came up with the Get In Lime! promotion featuring two new desserts and tea. For the cold beverages, you can choose from Lime Red Tea or Lime Earl Grey Tea, each priced at S$3.20. Giving the drinks a miss, I ordered both the ai-yu desserts.
Give mum this Lime Ai-Yu A (蜂蜜蒟蒻柠檬爱玉冻) with Ai-yu jelly, honey popping jelly, konjac jelly, lime juice and taro balls. I did try some and it was much sweeter than my dessert below due to the addition of honey popping jelly and/or honey. Both desserts seem a little watery, maybe due to the adding of lime juice.
My Lime Ai-Yu B (芦荟蒟蒻柠檬爱玉冻) comes with Ai-yu jelly, aloe vera pearl jelly, konjac jelly, lime juice and taro balls has just the quite amount of sweetness over the citrusy tang. You can add extra lime juice (+S$0.80) if you think it is not sour enough for you. I find it a refreshing treat for an after-meal indulgence.

Walked pass Nine Fresh (九鲜) in Sun Plaza and mum wanted aiyu jelly dessert. Their seasonal Sour Plum Ai-Yu Series promotion is still on even though it indicated only till 15th July 2024. You also receives a set of Vouchers with a minimum spending of S$9 during their 12th anniversary celebration.
Bought both the A and B items on the menu and topped up S$1 sweetened red beans for the two cups. Mum got the Sour Plum Ai-Yu A (蜂蜜寒天青梅爱玉冻) which comes with sour plum aiyu, honey popping jellies, kantan jellies and taro balls.
I took the Sour Plum Ai-Yu B (珍珠芦荟青梅爱玉冻) with sour plum aiyu, aloe vera cubes, black pearls and taro balls. The jelly is infused with the salty and sourish flavours of sour plums which in turn adds a refreshing profile to the otherwise sweet dessert.
