Everything nobody asked to know about a Puyo Puyo-adjacent puzzle game developed between Compile and Aiky. Character profiles, calendars that’re 14 years out of date, bits of art and miscellenia. One may ask why, but there are no answers here, only fickle cat and dog deities, a handful of demons, a three-month old plant with a poor memory and a single bear.

The mosaic of heads are from the profile pages, tutorial pages and a couple that were preview images for one of two PC icon sets. The band at the bottom is from the other PC icon set.
Character profiles and more calendars that haven’t been relevant for, um, at least 14 years.
Four at a time, since I’m probably the only one who cares about this nonsense. It seems each was supposed to have a four paneled strip, but so far only Para’s works.
Since I didn’t plan ahead, image material’s getting a little scarce. Interestingly, Aiky took over the mantle of Compile Club, rebranding it COMClub. At that point Sega had taken over the Puyo and Madou Monogatari rights, so they weren’t able to use those characters in the magazine. Four issues were produced before it was shuttered.
It’s interesting to learn about this stuff; before Compile Heart and Compile Maru, there was Aiky.
According to the wiki, Song-Hua, Pumpkie and Eudex were PS2 additions, but their inclusion on the arcade flyer makes me question that. Bomby~na (ボンビ〜ナ) and Kyle (カイル) are hidden characters in the PS2 version. The ‘Unknown’ is the final boss of both versions, a masked man named Señor Shellhead.
Various website elements, mostly from an announcement page for ComClub’s shuttering. Also, terrible screengrabs of Kyle and Bomby~na pending something decent.
Bomby~na (ボンビ〜ナ) and Kyle (カイル) are playable characters for the PS2 version and lack profiles, although there were empty slots for them on the website. According to Wikipedia’s entry, Bomby~na is a blue dragon and Song-Hua’s fiance. Kyle is Graber’s great grandson.
As for Graber’s name, there’s some disagreement between regions/versions. Graver as listed on an English info sheet, and I’ve also seen Gravel. Whatever he’s called, he’s still dead.
