'Overseas parcels - it's quicker by AIR'
General Post Office poster promoting airmail service to send parcels, featuring a colourful illustration of winged packages (c. 1950). Artwork by Armengol.
Headcanon that the reason Eddie has so many envelopes with wings all over his post office is because he lost a family member to airmail.
I mean, it would make sense that he would do it in honor and in memory of them, which would also give him the determination and a reason to be a mailman other than tradition and the good of his heart.
