Tinsel SHIMMERED against the glow of holiday lights strung around the Bullpen, the precinct transformed for the holidays. Although they were all still on the clock, it was nice to know that things were SLOW enough this season for Detroit’s finest to celebrate a little bit. It was Connor’s first REAL Christmas celebration, after all.

Decked in a VELVETY green suit, Connor stepped into the break room to ADMIRE the Christmas tree. It was adorned with silver BAUBLES and white flowers, all illuminated by a beautiful pale blue string of lights, all topped with a GLITTERING bouquet of ornamental grasses and flowers.

There were a few gifts under the tree as well, for later tonight. Among them were a few he had purchased for his coworkers. It was difficult to find MEANINGFUL monetary gifts, he thought. For Hank, it was easy. The record player sitting in his house was all but an ORNAMENT, so Connor bought him a turntable for him to play his jazz vinyls again. For Officer Miller, a cookbook for his new baking hobby he’d told Connor about. For Gavin, well...he bought Gavin a keychain he saw at a gas station while out with Hank. And for Jade...well, it was CUSTOMARY to keep such gifts a surprise, wasn’t it?

A soft smile came to his lips as he looked over the tree, clasping his hands gently in front of him. Tradition was a funny thing, he thought. Christmas was a PAGAN holiday snatched by Christian colonists, and today centuries later could mean something entirely different from whatever it was they were celebrating. So many cultures SQUANDERED by a dominating force of “holiday cheer.” He wondered how many other TRADITIONS there could have been, if given the chance to SURFACE in modern society.

The android had to confess that it has been an interesting journey post-revolution. He’s seen quite a bit in a different light, but there was so much more to know about society. Connor was knowledgeable about a vast amount of subjects, but he didn’t have first-hand experiences with most things. Even now, his brow twisted in mild confusion to the words that Jade spoke. 

“I’m sure you’re able to obtain multiple ways to travel to your home. It is not impossible.” Connor voice with a shake of his head as he stood just beside Jade near the window of her apartment. It goes without saying that.. the detective android allowed the meaning of her saying to go over his head. He attempted to survey the area through the window, but the frost upon the glass obstructed the view from his optical units. He blinked his eyes several times before turning his head towards his companion-- his friend-- his lover.. once again.

“Although, I do not recommend you travelling in this weather.” He inflected his emphasis in his voice. Connor’s tone was quite serious and blunt, but it was truly because he cared about Jade’s safety. “You could return to your home when the weather calms. - I could accompany you. If you would like.”

“Someone said I would have a better chance than the no personality fool sent by Cyberlife?” Sixty mulled over the factual evidence for a spell. “They would be correct.”

Daisy turned around in surprise when she heard her name being called. Not only her name, but also Jade's. As she turned around she saw a woman nearly at the same height as her and such beautiful face and hair. Daisy was so mesmerized by her beauty that she forgot to answer her question in that moment. get coffee with -> Jesse Since Lotus doesn’t know her well, having a little chat over coffee is a perfect hang out time to get to know each other.

go out to dinner with -> Genevieve Lotus would 100% take Genevieve out to an expensive restaurant. Even if it drained her wallet dry after.

steal their food -> Asuka Lotus does it often, almost every time they go out to eat. Brunch, lunch, dinner. Quick sneaky fingers to Asuka’s plate makes a grinning mischievous Lotus.
