Both akuaya and tenaku announced EOS before their first anniversary...
Aside from subscribing to their official YouTube channel, I haven't had any significant interactions with the games themselves to warrant a sense of loss. Still, whenever it happens, I can't help but lament what a waste of decent character design ⬇️

From what I can gather from the various opinions on Twitter, the situation with Tenaku is sad, as it had to end only three months after release. Akuaya had a longer lifespan (about six months?), but was made even more tragic by the fact that the development team apparently made its potential users wait 5 years before the game was actually released.
There are other crucial factors that contribute to the short-lived nature of both games (again, gleaned from Twitter). But I haven't even played them, so I won't dwell on those reasons.
