Jesus said "Love thy neighbor". But He also said "Sin no more". If a person praises, glorifies, and celebrates your sins, for the sake of your feelings, then they did not truly love you.

I agree - being apathetic and indifferent towards sin is as shameful as openly approving of it. Rebuke sincerely, with grace and clarity. But do not be too soft either, that your message might be overshadowed by insincerity; too soft and you'll come off sounding unsure, unconfident, doubtful.

Regardless, evil will hate truth no matter how you deliver it. It's better to be seen as hateful, bigoted, and prejudiced, for delivering an unembellished truth, than to be seen as kind for sugarcoating scripture for the same of someone else's feelings.

Homosexuality is

a frivolous exploit noone can ever justify without having to mention emotions and "hurt feelings".

Biologically speaking,

that is, in terms of Natural Science, Homosexuality is - while common - ultimately pointless. A fluke in the mental processes of creatures. A waste of energy.

It offers no valuable contribution to the natural propagation of the human specie:

Two same-sex humans cannot produce children. Their union is closed to life. And any conscious act of sexual intercourse between two same-sex human beings is a selfish, frivolous, carnal act, meant only to bring physical pleasure to those involved.

It also raises the risk of transmitting STDs if left unchecked.

Adoption and helping care for children in a community can be done by family members and other members of the community, regardless of sexuality. Therefore homosexuals have no real, direct contribution to give to any community; none in terms of culture, none in terms of industry, none towards the objective progress of human civilization.

The LGBT cannot even reach towards history to justify their place or even their hatred for organized religion. For historically, different societies often shunned them. Often shamed. Kept their acts in the shadows, where they ought to be. They do not boast or loudly proclaim anything, because it did not matter - it SHOULD NOT matter. They simply existed. That was enough.

Now.

Theologically speaking,

it is carnal. It is sinful. It is an abomination in the eyes of God. It is WRONG.

But let's be clear here: love is not inherently sinful. A man can love another man - or a woman, love another woman - deeply as FRIENDS should. But only that - friends. Deep friends.

What is sinful is the act of homosexual intercourse. Gay sex.

Sex is reserved for procreation - for conceiving a child. Which, in turn, is reserved for marriage.

Marriage is reserved FOR A MAN AND A WOMAN. It is a holy covenant before God between a man and a woman, to be joined as one flesh - as a family. To be blessed and multiply.

For homosexuals to have sexual intercourse is both pointless - as a child cannot be conceived from the union - and an insult to God's design. They cannot repent by marrying since they cannot physically honor the demands of the covenant anyway. Therefore there's no window for repentance.

Whereas, while it is also a sin for heterosexual couples to have sex outside of wedlock, they have, at least, a window for repentance: by marrying and honoring the covenant. And if a child is conceived anyway, then they can repent by raising the child in a God-centered family.

So for a homosexual couple to seek the right to marry is for nothing more than self-gratification.

Homosexuals cannot create life. So sex to them is a selfish, frivolous, lustful, carnal act - nothing more.

The only way for homosexuals to repent is to abandon homosexuality entirely. And, according to natural science, they can't do anything that heterosexuals and even asexuals aren't able to do as well.

TLDR;

homosexuality gives no contribution to the human specie and modern civilization, scientifically speaking, and, theologically speaking, is a free ticket to hell because you're all about lust and self-gratification.

"Homosexuality is brain rot" is nothing new, nothing special. The negative view on homosexuality is extremely common throughout history. You just chose to rail on organized religion - for absolutely no personal or spiritual gain whatsoever - because it's easier.

As with all cultures throughout history,

Some tolerated it quietly

Some restricted it socially but didn’t criminalize it

Some had role-based exceptions (especially if it didn’t disrupt expected family duties)

Others punished it harshly (look at the USSR and Mao's china)
