I must say, I liked Kent Plucker making an appearance, but man, the universe really is conspiring to prevent Beau from using her Brewer's Kit.
The Meadsplosion!
Some of you who follow my different blogs might know that I have recently started making my own mead... I actually still have my first bottle fermenting as we speak!
Well, I was on the phone with my mom and I realized that it’s been about two weeks since I made that bottle and set it aside to ferment... And I JUST realized I forgot to add the spices to the brew!
So, without thinking, I removed the top from the bottle and just poured in the spices... And shook the bottle to incorporate them in the brew....
For those who don’t brew, I just, without thinking, shook a hyper carbonated liquid with just my finger over the top in order to mix in some spices. I then pointed the top of the bottle in the general direction of my face... And removed my finger.
The explosion was somewhat overwhelming! But I can at least now say that I have had cinnamon in my eyes, and it really wasn’t as bad as I was expecting! lol
I was also able to do the cinnamon challenge without choking, so maybe I just have an awesome tolerance to cinnamon... Maybe I have a super power!
So yeah... I really hope I didn’t just ruin my mead, but I guess I’ll just have to wait until it finishes brewing to find out! I’ll start a few more bottles so I’ll have something to drink even if I’ve ruined that one.
