they were typical teenage boys teasing each other while being parabatai and loving each other a lot more deeply and then how they went to adults who supported each other in the worst times

So I wish I could have made this more seamless and could have justified adding like another 30 seconds, but I like the way it turned out anyway I think.

Summary: In their late teens (before the parabatai ceremony) Alec and Jace have been hiding their relationship from everyone.  When Maryse sees them together, after they accidentally fall asleep together, she gets a potion from Magnus to erase their memories.  While Jace forgets completely Alec retains his feelings but has no memory of their relationship.   Years later she is still sure she made the right choice but it burdens her.  When Jace is possessed the demon is able to access those memories, and uses them to torture Jace, also unlocking them for Alec in the process.

you don't understand how heartaching but beautiful it is that jace was with jem while he was being taken to the lightwoods.

how he had asked jem about will's initials on his staff.

how he spoke about 'parabatai being a weakness for a warrior'.

how jem and will themselves were so terribly alone before they found sanctuary at charlotte's institute and in turn found each other.

how jem may have seen will in jace despite thinking of him as a wayland at the time.

how he realised just how alone jace was.

how he "remembered traveling across the sea, having lost his family, not knowing that he was going to his best friend."

how jace also ended up going to the person who became his best friend, and to his found family.

how alec and jace did end up becoming everything jem and will were to each other.

about how after meeting jace for the first time, all alec could think of was that jace needed a friend, needed someone in his corner, someone to call his own, his family. how it was all clear as day to alec and how he immediately became that person for him excuse me while i sob.

i saw this somewhere on instagram.... that jace had the lightwood symbol engraved on the inner side of his herondale ring. and that he kept lightwood as his middle name. i was told that it was written in tda. i cannot for the life of me remember where it was mentioned... comrades, will you help me find out if this is true??

Okay, this is like 97.5% teen, and totally AU as it’s not Shadowhunter Verse.  I just wanted to play around with something cutesy and fluffy.  Plus, this is also sort of reverse world (or Jalec in face only), because here Alec is more confident and self-assured, and Jace is shy and socially awkward.

Hopefully the audio turned out okay, and isn’t too buggy, because I do have some hearing impediments, and they’ve been acting up.  Also, I liked this, until it was finished.  Now I’m 50-50, but that is my ever revolving cycle, and I decided to post anyway.

Summary: As kids Jace and Alec were friends, but had a falling out.  They have to work on a project together freshman year, and they have some chemistry, but Izzy barges in and interrupts whatever it might have been. Jace already has a girlfriend, and by their junior year there’s clearly something there.  After Jace and his girlfriend break up, sparks fly.
