Annabel, good morning
You Can Have It All by F+tM as Alecto the First
The Locked Tomb/Nona the Ninth spoilers
do you think she dreamt?
Oh.
Uh oh.
And don’t even get me started on the Implications of John naming the spirit of the earth after a woman who “lived with no other thought than to love and be loved by me” in the context of Alecto Is In The Body Of A Woman and the context of Mercymorn and the context of duty and the context of ‘Mother Earth’ and—
Relistening to Nona and had a thought:
So the burnt meat smell from the bodies on the beach make Nona hungry. After Pal had to beg her to eat some crackers before going to the beach and that begging made her almost have a tantrum meaning Alecto was close to the surface.
In the dream after being close to Gideon in the pool the skeletons have red eyes which they do not in the actual timeline but the red eyes do have something to do with the devils and the dream self is an amalgam of harrow/alecto/gideon…and after the dream Nona said she felt hungry. I know most people took that to mean horny and Nona not having context for expressing that. But what if???
Alecto and John ate human bodies after the bomb. The lyctorhood already does involve slight cannibalism. And Alecto is the first. Some of the og lyctors call Alecto freak and monster which means she must have done some incredibly messed up stuff considering they ate their friends souls. Their morals are already…skewed.
Plus, decomposing bodies are part of what returns nutrients to the soil…
What I’m saying is I think Alecto ate human meat. Like even after the resurrection. Especially since she already refers to humans as meat. (This is how meat loves meat)
I’m reaching here but what if Alecto is straight up just a cannibal?
"I pray the tomb is shut forever. I pray the rock is never rolled away. I pray that which was buried remains buried, insensate, in perpetual rest, with closed eye and stilled brain. I pray it lives, I pray it sleeps..."
Still very interested that when mercy thought gideon-in-harrow was Alwcto she didn't try to fight back, only expected to die
We know that alecto doesn't use magic as far as we have seen, and magic actually makes her feel sad
She walked through river as easily as no one else can
But what does she do in attack sense
She doesn't have heralds (yet?)
She has sword and regeneration
Which is cool, but mercy was sure she had zero chances
What does she do?
