Hogwarts Mystery: Our Happily Ever After

Barnaby and Aleksia are so thrilled when the twins are born. Both finally have a family of their own who loves them unconditionally. 

The twins are Keiran on the left and Kaia on the right. Might colour it at some point

1.How does their relationship develop in tandem with the Vaults?  Are they a hindrance or do they bring them closer together?

Their relationship develops slowly. However they do become fast friends. It takes Aleksia a bit of time before she actually realizes she had romantic feelings for Barnaby. The vaults definetely were both a hindrance and brought them together. It was a hindrance because she was so focused on the Vaults that she wasn't even thinking about dating for the longest while. However, it did bring them together ad2 well due to Barnaby helping Aleksia in both actually helping with the Vault and helping Aleksia deal with her angst. It made her realize how loyal, reliable and trustworthy he is and it captured her heart. Barnaby realizes much quicker when he sees how brave and caring she is and how she shows him that he deserves more than to be treated like a dumb pawn.

3. How do they flirt with each other before dating?  How does it change after they start dating?

Oooof it can kinda get painful at times with these two. They are totally oblivious and sometimes don't even realize they are flirting with each other. Like Aleksia will just make a little giggle and bat her eyelashes at him unknowingly and Barnaby will be like OOOOF MY HEART AHHHH and then Barnaby will be like smiling sweetly or in awe of her unknowingly and then Aleksia is just like OOOOF I'M DYING. They don't even realize they are totally killing each other with fluff x"D

16. How do they comfort each other when they have bad days?

They don't always talk alot during bad days but they are definetely cuddling during this off on their own. Aleksia is very cuddly and needs that physical affection. Aleksia will definetely listen to Barnaby whenever he needs it and Barnaby calls Aleksia out when he thinks she's trying to hide her feelings. Aleksia is very good at hiding her feelings, and Barnaby is quick to recognize it unlike most people.

1 and 14 for the angsty OTP questions?

OOOF this is going to hurt alot. Thank you for the ask! I might just write these as short little drabbles.

Who would be clutching on to the other person whispering, “Don’t die,” while the other is covered in blood?Well I could see both of them really doing this but for some reason Aleksia holding onto Barnaby comes more to mind. So! Here we go! Get ready for some angst!

Aleksia hovered over Barnaby as she tried to apply pressure to his wounds. She was covered in blood, but not her own. Her brown eyes looked at him in fear as he stared up with her tiredly. He was dying, and they both knew it. She didn’t know enough healing magic to fully heal him, and she had run out of any poultices that could help. 

“Don’t die. Don’t you dare die on me” tears were flowing down her cheeks “You’re going to live. You got that? Stay with me”

Barnaby reached up and caressed her cheek “Kitten...it’s alright...It’ll be ok...”

The raven haired girl leaned into his touch and felt a sob escape past her lips. “Please don’t go...” She leaned down and pressed her forehead to his, squeezing her eyes tight. 

“I love you...so much...” There were tears in his own eyes now. He was scared. He could feel himself slipping away. 

“I love you too...always...” she kissed him softly, but as she pulled away she could see that his eyelids were closed. “No no...Barnaby?? Barnaby???” she pressed her ear to his chest and her eyes widened. It was silent.

An anguished scream rung throughout the night as she cradled his lifeless body in her arms. They were each a half of a whole, and now the half was gone...and the other half shattered into pieces.

       14. Who is willing to die to keep the other safe, and when their partner       protests, the one who is willing to die, dies in that moment, leaving their partner with their corpse?

Either one would be willing to die each other. They both love and care for each other very much. For this it’ll be Aleksia sacrificing herself.

It happened after the death eaters escaped from Askaban. Aleksia’s cousin, Henry had joined Voldemort and became a death eater, believing that blood purity must be kept and that any traitors must be eliminated. That included Aleksia, whom he hated since he was a young boy.

Aleksia and Barnaby were surrounded by death eaters, lead by Henry. Henry let out a chuckle.

“So...you found yourself a boyfriend hmm? Pureblood as well...too bad you’re a blood traitor...Your father would’ve been happy...” he put his wand underneath her chin and chuckled.

“I’ll fucking kill you” she growled as she was struck across the face. Barnaby looked enraged as Henry’s hand collided with her face, but was held in place. 

“Now now. Is that any way to talk to family?” he let out a chuckle “Ah well...Now...I’m going to give you a choice...I find myself in..a fair mood. Either...you can live...and your boyfriend dies...or you die and he lives”

“Aleksia! Don’t do i--” Barnaby yelled but was kicked in the stomach, knocking the wind from his lungs. 

“Leave him alone! Please!” Aleksia cried, tears streaming down her face. “I...Kill me. Kill me”

“Aleksia no...” Barnaby struggled against those holding him, tears flowing from terrified emerald eyes. 

Her brown eyes looked to Barnaby and she mouthed to him ‘I love you’, before looking up into the cold grey eyes of her cousin. “Kill me”

Henry’s face contorted into a smile “Very well “ he pointed his wand towards her “Avada Kedavra!!!”

“NO!!!!!!!!!” Barnaby howled and fought tooth and nail to get out of their grasp. He managed to escape and he tackled Henry to the ground, getting in a couple of good punches to Henry’s face before being sent flying backwards. 

“You’re lucky I’m a man of my word “ Henry growled “Let’s go” he said as him and the rest of the death eaters dissaparated.

Barnaby groaned in pain, holding his stomach, catching his breath, before he spotted Aleksia’s body. Painfully, he crawled towards her, hoping that somehow he had messed up the spell.

Yet as he finally reached her, he could see the lifeless look in her once vibrant brown eyes. She was gone.

For hours he cradled her body in his arms, broken, lost and alone. He would never be the same. 

A new look entered into his eyes. That of burning rage and a vengeance. He would kill Henry, even if it killed him. He had nothing left to lose.

4. What does the rest of the Mystery Crew think about them?  Do they even know about it?

They think that Barnaby and Aleksia are cute but are glad they aren't the type of couple to like be grossly all over each other in front of others. At first they don't know, as they introduce it slowly, such as squeezing each other's hand affectionately in front of others or a casually putting an arm around Aleksia when they are talking to someone. People just sort of guess it since they don't really say anything outloud. People just know they are official without them having to say it.

5. Do you think any of the Hogwarts staff ship them or think they’re cute together?

McGonnogal low-key ships it. Minerva is someone who Aleksia looks up to and likes to go for advice, so she definetely encourages it.

Hagrid definetely does and has 100% offered to make rock cakes for them for their dates. They accept them but uh...ya they definetely don't eat them...for...obvious reasons.  Though Barnaby did try once and Aleksia had to take it away from him ahahahaha xD Sweet clueless boy.

6. What rumors do you think would float around Hogwarts about their relationship, if any?  How would your MC react to them upon learning about them?

The Crazy Aries and Son of a Death Eater. There are definetely different rumours going around of all sorts of variety from them being cute and supportive to them both being in a arranged relationship to continue the pure bloodline and join the death eaters. Both can be hot heads and both are incredibly protective of each other. Both would fight anyone who tries to mess with the other.

Just a little small interaction with them ahah Not the best but meh it’s 12:30 am XD

Aleksia was sat on one of the benches in the hallway, a book in her hand. It was the latest fantasy novel her mom had sent her, and she was absolutely loving it. She was already ¾ of the way done and she had only started that morning. Thank goodness that wasn’t the only one her mom sent. She needed something to take her mind off of everything going on lately, and books were the best thing to do it. Well, one of them at least.

It was only the beginning of sixth year, so she could get away with taking hours to waste away on books. ‘Thank goodness OWLs were over’ she thought to herself. She had done extremely well on them, but they were stressful to deal with. 

“Hey there sweetness, whatcha got there?” a voice interrupted her train of thought, making her internally cringe. Someone just had to interrupt her, and most importantly with flirting. Anyone who even knew her a little bit knew that when she was reading she got really into it, to the point where some of the time she might not even respond. She also certainly didn’t respond well to flirting, she just didn’t feel comfortable with it from some random stranger, she could barely tolerate it when Diego did it. The raven haired girl was not in the mood for this.

“A book” she said curtly, slightly annoyed. She didn’t want to give a full answer, not wanting to feed into him. Unfortunately that approach only made him chuckle.

“C’mon beautiful, don’t be like that. I’m interested” she sighed and put the book at her side, looking up at the boy. “That’s better. Now I can see your beautiful eyes”

Aleksia gave him a deadpan face, looking at him like she was questioning the blatant stupidity in his flirtations. She wasn’t in the mood for this. With everything that had happened lately, this was the last thing she needed. Besides, she had a loving boyfriend who she loved deeply. She would never betray Barnaby. 

“I don’t know who you are...but I suggest you leave me be. Your sweet talk is getting you nowhere. I’m not interested” she picked up her book and stood up, about to walk away when she felt a hand wrap around her wrist. “I suggest you let go of me now before I pummel your ass”

“Listen bitch--” a hand clamped over his shoulder, causing the boy to turn around and stare into emerald green eyes. 

“I suggest you don’t continue that sentence if you like breathing” It was Alex. Aleksia smiled for a moment in appreciation, before twisting the guys arm around painfully behind his back.

“Put your hands on me again and I’ll snap your arm. Got it?” she pushed him away, sending him running down the hall. “Thanks, Alex”

The boy smiled and ruffled her hair “No problem. It’s nothing. Really. You were handling yourself fine. I just thought I’d be there for backup in case” 

“Still...I appreciate it. I don’t know who he is but I’ve seen him staring at me a couple of times around here.”

“He’s nothing worth noting. He’s in a year below us and seems like a dick. Your wrist alright?” he looked worriedly.

“Ya don’t worry about it” she rubbed her wrist and shrugged “I’ve had worse”

He nodded and frowned “I understand…”

“C’mon let’s get out of here. I need some air. Butterbeers on me” Aleksia smiled. 

“I won’t say no to that” he chuckled as the Slytherin and Gryffindor duo headed out towards the Hogwarts entrance.

1. What trait of appearance / personality did they inherit from their parents?

Kaia and Kieran are more like their mother, apart from Kieran’s eyes. Both have dark hair like Aleksia. Kaia has brown eyes as well. Faye takes after her Dad all the way. She has only slightly darker brown hair like his (though not nearly as dark as the twins) and green eyes. 

2.  Favorite class?

Kaia’s favourite class would probably be flying. She loves the feeling of being high in the air on her broom. But she also finds she loves transfiguration as well. 

Kieran’s favourite would be potions. He seems to have a knack for it right away, and ends up getting extra tutoring from his Aunt Penny. 

Faye’s favourite class would be Care for Magical Creatures. Like her parents, she loves animals and wants to one day work with them just like her dad.

7. How old are they? In what year were they born?

Honestly I’m still trying to figure out this one but I was thinking that the twins would be born about 4 years after they graduate from Hogwarts, while Faye is born 2 years after the Wizarding War. 

15. What is their relationship with other fankids? Do they know any?

I can imagine that Daniel (your Daniel) and Kaia and Kieran and Faye would get along quite well. Since Alex and Aleksia are so close I imagine that they see each other often even out of school. 

I can also imagine that they would be close to Penny’s and @callmederok s David’s kids, as Penny is one of Aleksia’s best friends and is also good friends with David.
