It could have been weirder. It could have been Simon Pegg. And there could have been zombies. :)

Well, I would have expected that from my kids. But rather than Simon Pegg with zombies - a-okay, running, snarking, whatever, no high heels to wear, it would have been anyone from the Firefly crew – we just saw Serenity yesterday, and they are both equally in love - K1 predictably with Mal, and Wash, and Zoe, and Kaylee, and River, (I noted the also predictable absence of Simon and Jayne love); K2 with awesome baddie played by Chewitel Ejiofor - & they are scared of reavers - so virus infested wedding guests would have been »logical«. I mean I love men in suits - but it astounds me where my kids go with this ... also, how to get rid of hubby?

It's such a beautiful story. But if it makes you tense to write it you should wait. How about that laundry? Mine is still all over the bedroom. I fail at the laundry portion of the life test.

No laundry today - at my mom's house. It's less tense than just... I don't know. Perfectionism, probably.

1) Why did you choose your URL? 

When I first stumbled into that tumblr thing about one year and a half ago I watched from the sideline for about a week - that final decision to join felt like that tipping point, that conscious and joyous decision to just go for it, headfirst, no matter what - down the rabbit whole onward to whatever was waiting there. Have not been looking back ;-) 

2) What is your middle name? 

I do not have one.

3) If you could own a fairytale/fictional pet, what would it be? 

Kattas - because of the stripes but only if they can swing and run and do whatever they want to.

4) Favorite color?

Green and orange

5) Favorite song? 

Right now, probably Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud. Can change any minute. And there's never just one. I think I am going through phases - I tend to listen to one band/one singer for a period of time - those songs will be forever associated with certain moments - so their memory lingers. But I will move on to the next best thing on my list ...

6) What are your top three fandoms? 

Star Trek, Sherlock and The Hobbit. Might dip my toes into other waters occasionally - like with Inception due to tumblr posts and fanfic (yeah, down that rabbit whole as well).

7) Why do you enjoy tumblr? I love the open passion for all things imaginable (and unimaginable), the sheer joy, the bonding over small things, the sometimes domesticity ... glimpses into lives, the creativity. I love fan fiction and fan art and beautiful things (that might not be beautiful to others, mind you) - I love those smart and outspoken tumblerites that challenge my narrow mind and get me on new, sometimes uncomfortable paths. The social conscience. And above all, I love the openness to forge bonds and friendships in a virtual space that are very real. This has been a welcoming, a very happy place indeed.

I hope things go back to very good soon. I feel the laundry. I’ve got about 8 loads to fold right now and more in the machines. It’s a snow day for the boys. Or ice day as apparently we’re told to expect up to a 1/2 inch to an inch of ice. Grrr.

They should, they should. Thank you. Worst part is that the not so good it's out of my control and I have difficulties with that - it's still a learning process. The laundry mess is a kind of perpetual metaphor for that state of mind ... Swap? I'll fold your 8 loads, you load the washing machine and dryer over here (I try not to count, le sigh)? Symmetry is soothing. Over here it's high tide for carnival and everyone is cheering on. So the kids are occupied and I plow on with work ;-) And wow, that really sounds like ice day there!

Good luck with the laundry. We’re trying to prepare for 2 or 3 inches of snow and up to an inch of ice. I’ve never hoped the forecast was wrong this much. They cancelled school today so we could ‘prepare’. Looks like lost power in my future.

Right now, we're looking at 4-8 inches. Kids are off today because of President's Day, but so is MAFM so that helps. I hope you keep power - fingers are crossed!!
