Favorite childhood gift: A Polaroid camera she used to document all her favorite moments: family trips, sleepovers with friends, silly little every day moments that mattered, she still has a box of photos that she looks through from time to time

Favorite gift from Thomas: A locket with a picture of the two of them inside; in the HWU au, it would be a picture from their first date to Catalina, in the RCD au, it would be a picture from their weekend trip to Lake Tahoe (once the twins are born, they update the photos)

Favorite gift from the twins: A handmade “Best Mommy” scrapbook filled with drawings, photos, and captions the twins insisted on writing themselves when they're about 8 years old. Alex was in tears by page two.

Olivia Hadley/Lahela

Favorite childhood gift: a doctor playset from her parents. She took her role very seriously and spent years diagnosing and treating her stuffed animals and dolls.

Favorite gift from Bryce: a necklace and ring set with their birthstones and each of their children's too; on another birthday, he gets her first children's book published.

Favorite gift from Malia: a coupon book for extra hugs, kisses, and "mommy and me" special nights

How would Alex and Olivia celebrate their birthdays this year?

yayyy thank you for the ask! I have art for both of them with a special moment from their day! I hope to write a drabble to go with each but here is a preview of each of their days.

Alex:

Alex and Thomas alternate projects so they're never both working at the same time. Right now, Thomas is working so Alex plans to spend the day with the twins. She understands the scheduling and pressures of the life they lead. Addison suggests they all go out for a fancy brunch, so Alex and the twins get dressed up, but when they get to the restaurant Thomas is there to surprise her and Addi takes the twins out instead so they can have time together. Thomas and the twins also have plans for a special dinner they made for her.

Alex also has a birthday dinner planned with a few friends/couples the following day, but on her day, she wants to spend it with the ones she loves most!

Olivia:

Olivia and Bryce are both working on her birthday. But Bryce has organized all of Liv's patients to give her something as she makes her rounds that day. Olivia is 5 months pregnant with Makoa and working on opening her pediatric practice so she's very tired, so the little flowers and special things her patients give her truly make her day feel magical (but also makes her feel guilty for leaving the hospital... it's definitely bittersweet for her). Bryce and Malia have a special party planned for after work too! (I have the cutest art everrrr for this)

The nurses and other pediatricians also have a cake for her at work!

Coffee, coffee always makes her feel better

a charm bracelet she's had most of her live that she still adds to. It's not very expensive or glamorous but it's something she holds dear

photos she and Thomas took on one of their first dates

the "love among the stars" necklace from HWU, that HWU!Alex finds, but also RCD!Alex receives it from Addison who found it.

a scarf her grandma knitted for her

her toy stethoscope she got as a child

a stuffed penguin Bryce got for her at the aquarium

Daenarya:

the woven bracelet Mal made for her

a worn leather bag she has of her moms

Best childhood moment?

Alex: Her on stage play in elementary school. She was in second grade and she will never forget how confident, comfortable, and empowered she felt on that stage, even if she only had 2 lines and was supporting the older kids.

Olivia: Playing doctor to all her stuffies and dolls

Daenarya: Daenarya doesn't have many memories of her parents, but she remembers one afternoon, sitting on the porch with her mom, the breeze blowing in their hair as they ate grapes they had just picked (Daenarya's parents were wine makers in my HC)
