Thinking about the old town crew from back when they had an old town.
Juno, Benziten, Sasha and Mick, all haning out on the edge of their old stomping grounds. Back when they were all alive and could spend time together. Weird to think that only two of them survived eay? The Penumbra podcast sure is a podcast.
Still think about them from time to time. Also, look, I'm alive XD Just haven't been in as pure of a drawing mood as of late.
Hey, Travelers! After a couple years away, I’m doing the @penumbrabang again this year! And to my absolute joy, I got to do art for @alexandenigtscreations’ fantastic fic THEIA My Name!
It features various shenanigans with the Theia chip and a long-awaited reunion between Juno Steel and Diamond Hijikata!
Rating: M
Warnings: Graphic Depictions of Violence
Desperate times call for desperate measures, and being on Dark Matters most wanted list makes a person about as desperate as they come. With the Carte Blanche's expert in disappearing still missing in action, Rita manages to locate another, more unlikely source.
Which is how Juno Steel found himself on the door stoop of Diamond Hijikata. An old flame who made just enough of a name for herself to be a problem.

[ID: Fan art of Juno Steel and Diamond Hijikata from The Penumbra Podcast, in full color. The main colors of the piece are gray blue, desaturated purple, and peach.
In the foreground are Diamond Hijikata and Juno Steel. We see them from the side as they face each other head-on. Diamond stands to the left, glaring at Juno as she crosses her arms. She wears a button-up shirt with wide collars. Her long white hair is up in a loose bun. Juno stands on the right side of the piece, hands planted in the pockets of his purple trench coat. He looks at Diamond with a mix of exhaustion, sadness, and apology.
Floating behind and between them in a rough peachy orange bubble is a vision of their younger selves. Young Diamond stands to the right, her long white hair hanging loose down her back. She smiles at Juno, who stands to the left also smiling, dressed in his HCPD uniform. Older Juno’s hair is in short dreadlocks, while young Juno’s hair is in short, natural curls. Young Diamond tugs playfully on young Juno’s tie.
In the far background, in shades of blue, is a chalk drawing of Hyperion City in the rain. Raindrops fall in stiff angles across the piece.
If you are still doing the prompts, Jon Martin 38) Letting them warm their cold hands under your shirt. Loved the one where Martin gets cold and Jon keeps reaching out <3
“Are you still cold?”
Jon’s been walking around the house like a little ghost, the cottage’s largest blanket around his shoulders like a cape. He’s got that concerned look on his face and Martin wants to make it disappear.
“No, I’m- alright, Jon. If you insist.” He’s walked straight into Martin’s chest, burrowing his face in his jumper as his hands find Martin’s. He frowns- yes, they are cold. They’ve been doing that, lately.
“Liar,” Jon says with no heat, and he guides Martin’s hands under his jumper- it’s surprisingly intimate for the two of them. He winds his arms around Jon’s torso and draws him close, propping his chin on Jon’s head.
“You just wanted a hug, didn’t you?” he asks fondly. He won’t deny him the contact; Jon’s doing a good job of warming him up.
“...No.”
“Liar,” Martin throws back at him; he can almost feel Jon’s pout. He looks down- barely visible beneath Jon’s nest of hair is the weave of his jumper, a nice, hunter green color that looks so familiar-
My original character Allen Rail as a mermaid. This was a quick piece I did for mermay. Is that a giant perl or a skull you ask? Why, I will let you decide <3
The Penumbra Podcast's Auranko Crime Family was a perfect fit for this. I liked it when they had the conversation of 'if we are in danger, first save yourself before getting us'. Expecially Juno telling the lot of them that they better not make him leave them.

Tools: pen and ink, watercolor, minor digital touchups.
Featuring my favorite twink, Link, in the game Tears of the Kingdom. I just like the idea of Link, newly recovering after loosing his arm, and his health, just trying to get his bearings in the sky islands. The master sword in ruins, his arm a loaner from another undead king, infested with gloom and woefully underdressed for the exposure in the sky islands. Also the stewards are nifty, but I'd imagin abysmal company.
Pen and ink with watercolor, some additional pigmentation in clip studio paint.
