OC ask meme: 5, 13, 18, 28 for Alfdis and Gunnora!
5. How easy is it to earn their mistrust?
Pretty easy for both of them! Alfdis is prettily easily hurt by people who break her trust and she gets very mad about it. However, she’s a lot quicker to forgive than she seems, and you can earn her trust back pretty easily. Gunnora on the other hand, is kind of the opposite. It takes a lot to break her trust in you, but once you’ve broken it, she can really hold a grudge.
13. What color do they think they look best in? Do they actually look best in that color?
Alfdis is fond of blues and greens, and yeah, she looks pretty good in them! Gunnora doesn’t really have a preferred color she looks best in, she just wears the clothing she has available, which is mostly a range of browns and reds. TBQH brown and red is probably not her best color, but IDK what would be?
18. What embarrasses them?
Alfdis is pretty hard to embarrass. Mostly she feels embarrassed when she realizes that she’s made a fool of herself in the past - it’s really her own failings that embarrass her. Gunnora tends to get more embarrassed by people teasing her over things, and she can also get secondhand embarrassment when other people do embarrassing things.
28. Would they prefer a lie over an unpleasant truth?
No, I don’t think either of them would. Alfdis hates being lied to (although she’s fine lying to others), and Gunnora would feel really betrayed if she was lied to and then found out about it.
Alfdis and Gunnora is going on break for the spring semester! I hope you all enjoyed the most recent chapter.
In the meantime if you’re interested in what I’m doing, you can check out my art blog, especially assignments for The Center for Cartoon Studies!
I will return with another update and piece of extra art in March, letting you know if anything new has happened or if there’s special stuff I’ve been working on.
Thanks for reading!

We are only a few short weeks away from the return of Alfdis and Gunnora! I hope you are all as excited as I am to start this brand-new chapter!
Alfdis and Gunnora will return on December 19th for the EXTREME A+G CHAPTER DUMP! This will feature brand-new pages every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until the end of January, and will be ALL of Chapter 10: Mother’s Knife, Daughter’s Sword.
I’m super pumped to apply the things I’ve learned here at the Center for Cartoon Studies to Alfdis and Gunnora! For instance, after my experience with traditional tools, during this chapter I plan to do some traditional inking, and, if possible, I’m gonna use my new digital coloring techniques learned here. You can see some of what I’ve been learning on my art blog, especially assignments done for CCS!
Are you ready for the return of Alfdis and Gunnora? Because I can’t wait!
3, 6, and 17 for any character you've *really* been wanting to talk about
what if i do, like, six characters and answer the questions for all of them.
Alfdis
3. Real World/ Modern AU Profession?
Alfdis would almost certainly be the rich child of some kind of billionaire who inherits her fortune and maybe becomes a reality TV star.
6. What role would they play / Who would they be in Disney!Verse?
She’s Jasmine. I mean, apart from being white, she’s very, very much like Jasmine.
17. What makes them laugh/cry/get pissed? What is happiness to them?
She laughs at little jokes - loves sarcasm, and her brother Sigfried is super funny. Alfdis kinda cries at the drop of hat - she cries when she’s startled, when she loses someone, sometimes when she’s angry, when she’s super tired. She cries the most in the comic. She tends to get angry over little things - she’ll blow up really bad but then forget it easily and it’ll blow over. Happiness for her is mostly about what she perceives to be adventure and excitement.
Gunnora
3. Real World/ Modern AU Profession?
Soldier. Probably in the Army but she could probably do Marines too.
6. What role would they play / Who would they be in Disney!Verse?
Honestly I’m not 100% sure. It sounds silly and cliche to say Aladdin when I decided Alfdis was Jasmine, but street rat/princess is kind of their deal? There aren’t a whole lot of soldiers in the Disney verse.
17. What makes them laugh/cry/get pissed? What is happiness to them?
Okay nobody has seen this in the comic yet, but Gunnora loves dirty jokes. Like toilet and sex humor. She doesn’t cry very often - really she only cries over really BIG things, like, y’know, her whole city and possibly her family getting blown up. (Only time she’s cried onscreen in the comic wheeeee!) When Gunnora gets pissed, it’s usually over VERY BIG things, and it’s usually a bottled up anger. She has a lot of self-loathing, and she tends to hold grudges, sit on her anger. When she lashes out, it lasts a long time. Gunnora doesn’t really..... allow herself to really think about being happy.
Tiaca
3. Real World/ Modern AU Profession?
Military, ex-military, or para-military radical revolutionary.
6. What role would they play / Who would they be in Disney!Verse?
................... i am hard pressed to think of a radical revolutionary who fits tiaca in the disney verse........... maybe esmerelda i guess? maybe????
17. What makes them laugh/cry/get pissed? What is happiness to them?
tiaca does not laugh. not anymore. she cries almost every night for the people she’s lost. she is constantly pissed, mostly at the way her people are treated, especially by the Devil Monsters (aka elves). she will never be happy until all the Devil Monsters are wiped off the face of the earth. then maybe she can rejoin her clan.
Aste Hatez
3. Real World/ Modern AU Profession?
Either a teacher, or a priest. Possibly like, a professor at a seminary or something? I can even see him as a guidance counselor.
6. What role would they play / Who would they be in Disney!Verse?
He is definitely a mentor-type or religious figure.... I can see him as Friar Tuck or maybe Bagheera.
17. What makes them laugh/cry/get pissed? What is happiness to them?
Aste Hatez is a man of simple pleasures - little things amuse him, especially physical/slapstick humor. He also loves stories. He doesn’t cry much - as a priest/hatez, he’s come to terms with the kinds of loss that happen to his people. He doesn’t do anger or confrontation well. He would be happiest if his people weren’t constantly at war, and he got to guide yearlings on their spiritual journeys and had no responsibility to guide the clan.
Ašizi (I know you don’t really know her, but I love her, a lot.)
3. Real World/ Modern AU Profession?
Ašizi would absolutely be a politician. Possibly by way of a law degree.
6. What role would they play / Who would they be in Disney!Verse?
She’s sort of a cross between all the typical magical villains, but she strikes me as most similar to Jafar. (I’m sorry for all the Aladdin comparisons god sorry)
17. What makes them laugh/cry/get pissed? What is happiness to them?
She laughs easily - her humor can sometimes be a bit cruel/nasty, but she’s one of the few goblins who regularly laughs. Crying? Not very often. Like most goblins, she doesn’t cry easily, and has come to terms with death and loss. Her anger is a cold, slow-burning anger - it’s vicious and calculated and intelligent, which is what makes her dangerous. In her perfect world, she is the leader of a race of goblins who are strong enough that no one and nothing can stand against them.
Žaez
3. Real World/ Modern AU Profession?
Right now, she’s a student, most likely a biology or chemistry major.
6. What role would they play / Who would they be in Disney!Verse?
Merida.
17. What makes them laugh/cry/get pissed? What is happiness to them?
Žaez is an angry, angry young goblin. She is full of a righteous anger at the way goblins are treated, she is full of petty anger at people who try to order her around, she is angry when she is disciplined and has to do menial jobs, and sometimes she gets angry at attractive people because they’re attractive and it’s distracting and frustrating. Her humor is dark, sarcastic, and often cruelly directed at other people. She most often cries for no reason, (and that makes her angry). She sometimes cries when she’s angry, too, which makes everything worse.
Alfdis was so proud of herself in this moment as she slinked up behind the man. She went ahead and shifted seamlessly into her common form copper hair rolling over her shoulder in waves. Her sea-foam green eyes filled with a flood of happiness. Her fair skinned hand reached out tapping the man on the shoulder. She knew he would not know of her on sight but she would explain herself. “Loki?”
Fun fact: Alfdis can dance. Actually, Alfdis dances incredibly well. She mostly does traditional Gamilin Faham partner dances and Westerisle line dances, but she also knows the steps to a few elvish dances, though they're often hard to pull off if you're not six feet tall and built like a string bean.
